Thanks WP – I can certainly appreciate your experience in the field of mental health and I can’t deny you have likely seen and heard many things. Can we agree on at least one point? That the underlying issue is not a “drug” problem – but a “sin” problem. If you take all “drugs” (even prescribed) out of the picture – people still have a problem with their sin condition with God.

As I have mentioned in previous posts about this topic (just click the hourglass by my name) there IS a difference between smoking cannabis and eating it raw. The raw plant is non-psychoactive. Do you see a difference between raw medicinal use and a mental health patient that has a sin problem - and that also uses drugs/many drugs?

S.C. – are you saying that because a Mason derived a benefit from something – that there is not real use and that we are deceived because a Mason derived benefit from Hemp? I am not sure that argument works here. The industrial use of Hemp is well documented and is no ruse.

Jim and Wayfairer – I am curious, have either of you have seen the research or read the stories of folks that have benefited from eating/juicing/making oil from raw cannabis? Did you know the Department of Health and Human Services owns a patent on one of the most prominent cannabinoids because of its amazing medical benefits? You should take some time to read the patent on CBD.
Bottom line – cannabis is not the propagandized scourge of the world you have been lead to believe. The plant is completely non-psychoactive in its raw form and these studies do little more than function as a straw man.

(Pro 18:13) He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.

I would implore you to look into the matter of cannabis and industrial hemp – and the medical implications of some of the lesser talked about cannabinoids. Please don’t write off the entire plant species because of the propagandized ill reputation that has been pushed upon us. For example, FDA & DEA try to tell us there is no medical value – yet the dept of HHS owns a patent stating that Cannabinoids, specifically non-psycho active CBD, have immense medical potential. Cognitive dissonance anyone??
Abstract (editing mine, full patent abstract at:]]Owner name: HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES)
Cannabinoids have been found to have antioxidant properties…This new found property makes cannabinoids useful in the treatment and prophylaxis of wide variety of oxidation associated diseases, such as ischemic, age-related, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. The cannabinoids are found to have particular application as neuroprotectants,… limiting neurological damage following ischemic insults, such as stroke and trauma, or in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and HIV dementia.

Hi Christopher -
I don’t envy your background but I acknowledge and respect your past experience and what your viewpoint brings to this forum. I will agree that people going to dealers will likely progress to other substances if other substances are made available by their dealer. But I disagree that Cannabis itself causes someone to take and become addicted to other substances. It absolutely has more to do with the connection to where the Cannabis comes from and the type of person buying. A dispensary that only sells Cannabis – or a dealer with heroin, cocaine, meth…willing to give a buyer a sample or deal with their purchase. A person with an "I will try anything once" mindset will simply try anything once, or twice...and the motive of the dealer is repeat business and a customer hooked on hard drugs is easier to keep...hooked.

In my personal experience, the most damaging and addictive “drugs” I ever took came from a Doctor.

Yes, SF – I did.

Maybe you didn't read my post earlier. You need to be able to think about this issue from several fronts:
1) Hemp is a great crop for products - it is legal to buy and use products made from hemp. Go to your local Hobby Lobby and get some hemp cord, buy pants, or a shirt made from hemp. You might be able to hand it down to your grandchildren - hemp is that durable.
2) Hemp seed is a fantastic food - go to your neighborhood grocery store and buy hemp oil, hemp seed, granola with hemp seed and so on..
3) Medical Cannabis does NOT need to be smoked to be useful. People do NOT need to "get high" for it to help! Please read my post from earlier today. To continue believing there is no usefulness is to reject the plethora of evidence to the contrary. Plant breeders are actively breeding out high THC traits and breeding in CBD and other NON psychoactive traits purely for MEDICAL use.

Bottom line - think about the big picture here. I am sick and tired of people getting run through the medical system with little hope left when there is such a simple solution to many dead-end medical conditions. I know, I have been there. This plant saved my life (I'm NOT being melodra

I agree, Jim - I would not want to tell people the best way to take medicine is by smoking it. That being said - some medications are delivered via inhalation because it is easier to titrate the dose and the dose is delivered quickly. Vaporizing is an alternative to smoking and does not burn the material. If someone has an acute need and time is of the essence - vaporizing is the easiest way to get the right dose quickly.

The best alternative is simply eating it like food, juicing, or rendering the compounds into an oil that is eaten. Consuming the plant raw leaves the psychoactive components dormant and does not make someone "high". Plant breeders have also created strains (varieties - just like there are many tomato types) that are low in THC and high in non-psychoactive components that make great medicine.

How has CBS saved your life? Are there any harmful side affects?
CBS will only rot your brain!

Look up research currently being done in places like Israel on the many uses of CBD.

For me personally – I was on a toxic soup of medications for about five years. Half of the meds were to counteract the side-effects of the other meds. Liver function was about shot – in my late 20’s. Was told they had no more options and gave me about five years till I would have a heart attack. I tried high CBD cannabis and I felt better almost immediately. Within a couple of weeks I replaced about 15 meds with one plant and I felt like a human again for the first time in half a decade. It gave me a functioning life.

I take no routine meds now, problem free going on four years. I have zero doubt that if I would have continued on the medical course they had me on – I would be six feet under by now.

I would do what I had to for my child as well. My first thought on this though was that his lungs are developing and fragile. I think of the heavy smoke that will cause very serious damage. But...he has other very serious problems and they don't have a lot of options.
Christopher – I just wanted to point out that no smoking is required. The child will be eating the oil made from a plant high in non-psychoactive cannabidiol, or CBD. Just like it is possible to breed a tomato to be large, mild, and red or small, yellow, and sweet - it is possible to breed cannabis to be high in CBD and very low in THC.

The family will either buy an oil made from the plant or will make it themselves. They will carefully measure out doses and introduce the oil via food.

]]Here is another article from Colorado where a child’s seizures were virtually eliminated with a high CBD oil. They also had tried all pharma had to offer with no success.

Neil - I'm not sure you should write off everything jbw says on this topic. It's like you would rather take the evolution approach to health and wellness. Believe me - their approach always goes in the wrong direction. Yes, as long as we have had dainties we have had people with over eating issues. I cant help but think of Eglon in Judges 3 and these verses from Proverbs 23:2-3 And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite. Be not desirous of his dainties: for they are deceitful meat.

But the issue i see doesent end with how much you eat. Its a part of it - but it stands to reason if God made us and he made food for us - introducing a glutt of synthetic chemical flavors, preservatives, anti foaming agents and on and on....we would experence amplified health issues.

I have also recieved much health help from the weston price foundation and their work.

Thanks, JPW. Fortunately, or unfortunately, they had already exhausted all known medication interventions and we had exhausted invasive interventions. They gave me one more experimental option that would have become a living nightmare - electric implants in my neck with wire leads going to a box outside my body. Can you imagine the horror if I or someone else accidentally pulled the wires and ends out of my neck? They warned it could cause permanent damage. Or......i eat a plant the Good Lord made and in a few months....off all meds and pain free....

Hi US - I wanted to make sure you knew one of the most important facts about cannabis. There are dozens of active cannabinoids that make up the plants chemical profile. Of these cannabinoids - only the THC produces a "high" and the others like CBD dont. But the THC is heat activated - if eaten raw the THC remains in an INACTIVE form of THCa (meaning acid). If eaten raw - the plant would be medicinal without mental effects. This is what cures and heals - eating. We have receptors for these cannabinoids in nearly every body system and it did it fact put into remission what had been years out of control. When others, when they had been smoking or vaporizing, switch to eating raw - medical miracles happen. It seems contrary to conventional wisdom - but then again - they are wrong!

Now on the topic of smoking and driving - yes, there is a degree of impairment. But you cant directly compare it to anything else. For example - for a period of two years they prescribed me 400mg of morphine a day along with many other meds and nobody batted an eye. I am much more concered about thoes that have multiple meds in their system causing a brew of toxic soup. I would look out for them - and in america - that is almost every car on the road.

The key to the medicinal powers comes from eating the plant raw, not by smoking it. This angers me as i recieved healing by eating the plant raw. Meanwhile the finger gets pointed at the "pot heads" and christians accept the governments argument againt the plant. It is an herb in the truest definition of the word and should not be written off. I know enough people that tried the conventional route and endec up with fistfulls of medications that exasperated their conditions. Like me, medical interventions nearly killed them. Tylenol, for example, is toxic in sustained high doses. My labs reflected a struggling liver and i was told i had a one way ticket to the grave.

Please dont just look at smokers and think thats what its all about - eaten raw like the food that it is can heal cancers and many other "un-treatable" conditions like i had. Look into it.
