What's the point in helping someone psychologically, without helping them spiritually (sharing the Gospel so that they may leave their abominable lifestyle and embrace Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour). They would be cured psychologically, but still have an eternity in hell to look forward to.
John Y wrote: "I still believe that Saint Peter was the First Pope. I still believe in Infant Baptism as well as Adult Baptism but I believe that Baptism(Infant and Adult) is just a dedication of infants and adults to Jesus. I still believe there are 7 Sacraments but I don't believe they have any bearing on salvation. I believe the 7 Sacraments are just church ceremonies dealing with various stages in life."
Doesn't it bother you that none of that has any basis in Scripture?
In my opinion its not the fact that they are speaking in a effeminate voice that's sinful, but the condition of their heart that leads them to speak that way (being gay, and purposely trying to sound effeminate). Its one thing if a man naturally has a high pitched voice, but purposely speaking effeminate to try and sound gay is another.
John y wrote: Stalin's daughter stated that when he was dying he woke up and had a look of horror and fear. And when Thomas Huxley was dying his nurse stated that he was looking at something that nobody else could see. And he stated it really is true. So obviously Stalin had a vision of what awaited him in Hell and Huxley had a vision of Heaven which he didn't believe in.
If I'm not mistaken didn't Voltaire have similar experience at his death, dying in utter agony as if he was burning in hell?
Why doesn't he just come right out and say it: Homosexuality is an abomination in the eyes of God, and that sodomites need to repent and put their faith in Jesus Christ for salvation. Of course if he did that, he wouldn't have such a huge congregation at his apostate saddleback church though.
Romans 1:32 "Who knowing the truth, they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do such things, but have pleasure in them that do them."
Doesn't sound like Paul was very tolerant of homosexuality.
Jim, I don't care what political party obamacare has its origins in, I'm against government run healthcare either way. I personal think the vast majority of politicians (Republican or Democrat) are a bunch of power hungry crooks, that care more about votes, than actually representing "We the people."
Lisa, lets say some pervert wants to celebrate the fact he just raped the woman of his dreams, and wants the Baker to bake him a cake to celebrate. Should he knowing why he wants the cake bake him one? If no, is rape more evil than sodomy?
Lisa, it wasn't just a cake, but a wedding cake. Since sodomy is an abomination in the eyes of God, a Christian shouldn't make them a cake as that would be in a sense supporting their blasphemous marriage. I'd rather pay a fine than capitulate to the homo-fascist agenda.
As for Christmas, my wife and I still observe the birth of Christ, and give gifts, but don't put up a Christmas tree, or decorations since that is pagan. Pretty much everything about Christmas has nothing to do with Christ, except that its supposed to be his birthday, which it is not. Santa is a counterfeit christ, and saddly many kids all over the western world worship and adore him.
John Y wrote: If the Catholic Church is not cognizant of the fact that I don't subscribe to all Catholic doctrines then I will never be anathamatized. And if I attend the Catholic Church and not a Protestant Church then I am Catholic and not Protestant.
Why go to a church that considers you anathama for your beliefs? More importantly, as a Christian why go to a church that blasphemes our Lord Jesus Christ?
Jim, don't you think its a bit silly to claim Johns Pentecostal relatives are lost, having never met them. I don't agree with a lot of what the Pentecostal church teaches, but I would never assume everyone who goes there is lost. They are not all charismatic lunatics you know.
Quite true Shane, with God all things are possible, glad God saved you out of Mormonism. I hope I didn't come off as saying that he couldn't never become a Christian because he was raised in a Mormon church, because that's not what I meant. God can save anybody out of any false religion. I was saying his view of Christianity may have been a Mormon perspective, and as such would not have been truly Christian.
Judging by the reprobate movies he was in, I'm a little skeptical of him being a true Christian, especially reading that he grew up in the Mormon church. Perhaps he just recently got saved before his death, I certainly hope so.
Didactually, I can't help but notice in your last posy you never referenced the Bible for evidence of your position. Any thing other than Scripture for proof of doctrine is shaky ground, and not proof at all. I don't care what history or tradition says, "What saith the Scriptures?"
