Try not to worship John or give him unmerited praise. Remember you and he are both sinners with an evil heart. Remember what Jesus taught, "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:" Mat 15:19.

Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

I call it wisdom in witnessing.
You haven't mentioned God and the part HE played in your story. Do you still perceive HIM as sovereign in the world and peoples experiences?

PS Praise God for His mercy.

I would hope this person would have learned that Roman Catholics, Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses have much more in common with each other than they do Christians. Because it is a fact that when Mormons say, We're Christians just like you! they are not.
What essentially these religious heretics have done is basically changed the 'Book' and hence worship in misguided form.

Talking of which Westcott and Hort a couple of Liberal Anglican heretics whose sympathies and religious misguidance ran to the papal Antichrist in the Vatican.

Since then they have helped to change the NASB, NIV and other modern versions - Doesn't that put you in direct league with these religious cults??

And consequently puts you on the wrong side of the apostasy.

I have a nephew who is 37 almost 38 years old from Hanford, California who on 29 April made his confession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as his Personal Lord and Savior at First Christian Reformed Church of Hanford, California.
Congratulations to your nephew and to you for having a Christian in your family to share with. And congratulations also for your long years of posting on Sermonaudio where everybody is so unfriendly and insulting to you.

they should go to some church like IHCC, we give people who want to join a --free-- NASB are most recent newsletter, tells about all the great bible products we have! So, if you know anyone who needs a Bible you know where to send them! (Ah, hopefully witn the money to buy them, even a NAS Large Print Pew Bible is something like 10 bucks, not counting shipping.
Better to provide a Bible which does not contain the heretical Greek text contributions of Anglican Bishops Westcott and Hort.

That would then be the KING JAMES VERSION which does not contain this sinful taint.

I don't think so, Derek.
Mat 13:33 "Another parable spake he unto them; The KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS LIKE UNTO LEAVEN, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened."
Also, Derek, remember that Jesus Himself made wine for the wedding feast at Cana. And please don't try telling me that this wine was unfermented grape juice. Not for a WEDDING FEAST, it wasn't.
Ecc 10:19 "A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry ..."
The governor of the feast declared that the wine which Jesus made was good -- actually better than the wine served at the first. Perhaps this governor didn't know the difference between wine and grape juice? Or perhaps this governor was a "grape juice connoisseur."
The one thing that everyone always omits is the fact that Jesus made "new wine" and yes, "new wine" was condoned, but that is obviously a NEW wine, that is not yet fermented...thus, juice. The water in that geography was not good for the stomach (think of timothy). Besides, God tells us not even to LOOK at the wine after it has turned colour (Prov 23:31) and tells us it is a mocker in Proverbs 20:1. and in Ezekiel 44:21 God instructs the priests not to drink wine. So I think, JUICE is FINE.

Compliments of the season to Yamil and Michael.
I thought I'd help you guys out with this Biblical teaching from the Canons.

The Synod of Dordt rejected these errors and fallacies which you guys teach.

"The use of the difference between meriting and appropriating, to the end that they may instill into the minds of the imprudent and inexperienced this teaching

that God, as far as He is concerned, has been minded of applying to all equally the benefits gained by the death of Christ;

but that, while some obtain the pardon of sin and eternal life, and others do not, this difference depends on their own free will,

which joins itself to the grace that is offered without exception, and that it is not dependent on the special gift of mercy, which powerfully works in them,
that they rather than others should appropriate unto themselves this grace.

For these, while they feign that they present this distinction in a sound sense, seek to instill into the people the destructive poison of the Pelagian errors."

Now you guys accept this simple Biblical fact, get rid of the heresies and come to Christ for real.

The Walk as Warfare
Dr. Stewart Custer
“ Excellent Study ”
Excellent Lesson Dr. Custer exposes the enemy we face as one far mightier than us and numerous beyond our imagination. This enemy exists to destroy God’s Family by using means of which we can barely imagine. Dr. Custer as usual eloquently forewarns those who will listen.
