There is a huge BASIC difference as far as the
Law is concerned in OT verses NT. Read the NT
about it and uh... why not sing rich, Christ
Centered NT songs?

Flat?

Have a nice day
I have heard this sort of argument before from our Lord's temptation viz. some argue that Jesus could see all the kingdoms of the earth from a very high mountain in a moment of time, and therefore the earth has to be flat.

What do the brethren here make of this kind of reasoning?

Mark's gospel seems to suggest that the entire temptation episode took place in the wilderness. If so, how could the Lord have been taken to the pinnacle of the temple at one point?

Looks like it has. But both the France attack and this appear to me to be false flags. Governments wanting more and more control in the name of security!

Compromise is relevant to Target's "transgender" restrooms,GS.
Andrea,Christians wouldn't feel,or,at least, shouldn't feel, comfortable wearing their underwear anywhere else. There is little difference for what passes as swimwear and underwear. The same body parts are exposed.
If anyone doubts that swimwear is immodest, they only need to ask a male unbeliever their opinion on it and if most women are honest, they will tell you that they do select their swimsuit to accentuate their bodies to draw attention to themselves.
I don't watch TV etc but I don't expect to find suggested filth like this on a Christian site.

(Snip) Perhaps, alcohol is just one of those things that contribute to poor judgment and rude manners.
Perhaps being a graceless judgmental pot stirrer accounts for your poor judgement and rude unladylike manners?

Amazing God's word Proverbs 20:1 and this subject of drinking wine, the alcoholic one, not the uncorrupted juice, but the corrupted juice through fermentation which is no good symbol of the uncorrupted blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, is settled down for good
No need for that long journey of all fallible opinion words of men. Just Porverbs 20 is good enough
Your name suits your stance Mr Legalist.

What is this a qoute from a fake modern bible? Adding "when used in excess"
NO, God is very clear "Wine is a Mocker"
Now, if you want to add more of your opinion to His Perfect word, that's your call
Ps 104 not in your bible? Esp v15

Ps 75.8 too speaks only of the dregs reserved for the wicked but the rest of the wine poured out by the Lord as a blessing

What about:
Prov 3

9 Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst
out with new wine.

Or Prov 31

6 Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.

You legalists have no clue about grace.

S C gave you a link which covers the topic of wine in the Bible. It's purely based on Scripture. That is why it was given. It's not subjective but objective.
Are we not to go to the Bible for answers?
There is not that much space to deal with each silly argument given so this was ideal.
John,must not be you. This isn't a justification/sanctification issue.
You will object to the link if you object to Scripture.
Some of you say that wine is always fermented and do not make a distinction. The Bible does, however.
Definitely not John.
John imposter, must be an imbiber himself.
Now,if anyone can possibly use Scripture in context to argue what is in the link, I don't see anybody opting for that, then I guess you will have to lean on your own futile opinions in regard to the matter.
Again, intoxicant users cannot object to their other intoxicant associates and friends. ...may as well vote for legalized pot or be a hypocrite.
Enemy of freedom in Christ proving true previous allegations against her that she only loves to discuss wine, sex and immodesty with a healthy measure of church bashing. Real little minded Pharisee censuring everyone to make herself look good.

Pro 8:13 - The fear of the LORD [is] to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Pro 18:13 - He that answereth a matter before he heareth [it], it [is] folly and shame unto him.

James 1:19 - Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

Eph 4:29 - Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Pro 18:21 - Death and life [are] in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Col 3:17 - And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Eph 4:15 - But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, [even] Christ:

Acts 18:9-10 - Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:

speak FREELY of Christ
