“ A WORD IN SEASON, HOW GOOD IT IS !! ”
This is a word that is advice and counsel to such who stand in need of it, exhortation and instruction to those that want it, comfort to those that are distressed. For me, all of the above is needed for the work God has me doing in His vineyard. I'm ploughing in very hard ground!

“ WILLING TO PREACH HARD SAYINGS !! ”
In this day of mealy mouth preachers, it is so refreshing to hear a pastor who is willing to preach the whole counsel of God, even the "hard sayings" in The Bible. The “elect” who listen to this message will receive it and be blessed by it because God has chosen to not leave them deaf and blind to spiritual things. The “non-elect” (reprobates) will spurn it because they do not believe that God has a sovereign right to manage the affairs of His creation, like the potter exercises in the disposing of his clay, when of the same lump he makes one vessel to a more honorable, and one to a meaner use.

“ SATAN STANDING WHERE HE OUGHT NOT TO BE !! ”
Pastor Chompff brings a powerful message concerning the wiles of the Devil. The very place that people believe that the old serpent is not is the very place where he is. The grandest subterfuge ever conceived in the history of the world is being pulled off in the church pulpit. Satan has his version of “christianity” and his ministers who appear to be ever so righteous and good on the surface. That old serpent has not changed his mode of deception. It is the same as he used with Eve in The Garden of Eden. His message appeals to the senses – “you can be god...you can do your own thing and no judgment will fall upon you.” This is the “strychnine” that his ministers mix in with righteous principles put forth in God’s Word. The deadly poison (lie) has to be mixed with that which is good (truth) so that the people will eat the Devil’s apple pie. There is a remnant of God’s people (His Elect) who know Satan’s scheme and God sends them forth into the world to WARN – DON’T EAT IT!

“ THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER !! ”
Pastor Chompff is correct to give the answer “NO” to the question put forth in Luke 18:8 – “…when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” There are those who believe and teach that there is going to be a great world-wide revival just prior to Christ’s return. The Bible paints a very different picture. It warns that there will be a great apostasy or falling away (II Thessalonians 2:3). Jesus clearly teaches (Luke 17:26-30) that prior to His Return that it will be as in the day of Noah and Sodom. LAWLESSNESS will be abounding – men walking after their own devices and doing the imagination of their evil heart. Things will NOT improve as the age progresses and millions will NOT be swept into the Kingdom of God as the coming of Christ draws near. It will be a time of spiritual darkness and lethargy. “Evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived (II Timothy 3:13). In other words, there will be NO great world-wide, end-time revival. When Christ cometh, he will find only a very small remnant of the faithful.

“ TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY !! ”
I was brought up in a Southern Baptist church. I knew nothing about Salvation by Grace Alone. While still a child, I did the "walk the aisle thing" to the singing of the hymn, Just As I Am. I was raised in a church that held Arminian Billy Graham in such high regard that what he believed and taught replaced the scriptures. By going forward at what was called “the invitation song” (“making a decision for Christ” as Graham would put it) and becoming a member of the church and being baptized, I believed that I was a saved person. I had believed a lie! No conversion had taken place. I was not converted until age 50 and it did not involve walking down a church aisle, church membership, nor baptism. My salvation was ALL of God’s wonderful grace. What an awful doctrine and belief is Arminianism because rather than man giving all the glory for his salvation to the living and true God, he carves out a slice of glory for himself (Christ plus Man’s Choosing Him equals Salvation). It is a lie from hell. May The Holy Spirit continue to use Pastor Chompff to vehemently speak out against this heresy.

“ GOD AND ENOCH IN AGREEMENT !! ”
What better society can be found than what Enoch had? I so much was blessed by this sermon that focuses on the man, Enoch, who was rapt in communion with God. Scripture (Amos 3:3) says, "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" Enoch "walked with God" and God was pleased with him because he agreed with things as God sees them -- he loved righteousness and hated iniquity.

Trust in the Lord
Pastor Michael Pickett

“ TRUSTING GOD IS WISE !! ”
Though the crucifying of the flesh is very painful, it gets us to where we need to be in The Lord ... trusting in Him and living for Him rather than self. Indeed, it is my experience that God does honor His promise "I shall give thee the desires of thine heart" to those who delight themselves in Him. As pastor Pickett is careful to point out in this message, all those who are in Jesus Christ are to be about the business of seeking to know God's will through His Word that has been given unto them and to do it. God's Word does WARN -- "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death" (Proverbs 14:12).

Sermon:
Marriage & Divorce - Part 1
Pastor Jim Gables
1
comment
“ GOD HAS SPOKEN LOUD AND CLEAR !! ”
God says that marriage is binding until DEATH. It is a violation of HIS WORD to divorce and remarry. The Jews had the custom of betrothal. During that period, the man was called the husband and the woman was called his wife, though no marriage covenant had yet been established. To end a prospective marriage, a legal divorce was required. This is why the exception clause is only found in Matthew's gospel as it does not apply to Gentiles who had no such custom. The "exception" spoken of by Jesus in Matthew 19:9 means what it says--divorce is only permitted for the cause of porneia (fornication) during the betrothal as that is not putting asunder what God has joined together. After a marriage has been entered into, the ONLY ACTION that dissolves that covenant is DEATH. God makes that crystal clear through the writings of the Apostle Paul in Romans 7:2-3. Those who divorce and remarry are denying that their first marriage is still binding in God's sight. And, He has further said--"...adulterers...shall NOT inherit the kingdom of God." 1 Cor. 6:9-10. If the act of "fornication" severs the marriage covenant and frees a person to marry another (as Pastor Gables states is the case), what is he going to do (?!) with Romans 7:2-3.

“ GOD HAS SPOKEN LOUD AND CLEAR !! ”
God has said that marriage is binding until DEATH. It is a violation of HIS WORD to divorce and remarry. Shame on Pastor Baucham and all others who are giving the stamp of approval to those who are remaining remarried, and in so doing, denying that their first marriage is still binding in God's sight. Romans 7:2,3--For the woman which hath an husband IS BOUND BY THE LAW TO HER HUSBAND AS LONG AS HE LIVETH; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. So then, IF, WHILE HER HUSBAND LIVETH, SHE BE MARRIED TO ANOTHER MAN, SHE SHALL BE CALLED AN ADULTERESS: but if her husband be dead, she is free from the law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. God has spoken and HE IS THE FINAL AUTHORITY on the matter, not man! And, He has further said--"...adulterers...shall NOT inherit the kingdom of God." 1 Cor. 6:9-10 Take the matter of divorce/remarriage very serious because GOD DOES!!

This sermon was an answer to prayer. Just when I needed encouragement and had prayed--"God please establish me in the work that you have called me to do in the earth," The Holy Spirit led me to this message. I am now no longer downcast, but renewed in Spirit and about My Heavenly Father's business. Hallelujah !!

Sermon:
But God
Pastor Jim Gables

“ BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU BELIEVE !! ”
I support Pastor Gables in his taking a stand against what Arminians believe and teach. Their doctrine is NOT the true gospel (found in scripture), but it is a different gospel (of man's devising...a man by the name of Jacobus Arminius who was born in 1560). Arminianism is a FALSE teaching that has been accepted by many key figures in church history, including John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, and Billy Graham. I thank God that He has raised up some ministers, like Pastor Gables, who are willing to shine a light on this heretical theology. It is disturbing to me to think of the untold numbers of people who have been deceived into believing that their walking an aisle at the call of a man and their making a decision to be "born again" on a whim makes them a believer in Jesus Christ and that they're on their way to heaven. There was a time that I was one among them. At age 12, I responded to such a call. I believed the lie that was being preached to me--"You can choose to be saved." It wasn't until age 50 that I was "quickened" to life (made a new creature) in Jesus Christ. I have the same testimony as the chinese man in the story that Pastor Gables tells in this sermon. Take a listen!

How gracious of God to provide, through Pastor Gables, this sermon series entitled, The Whole Counsel of God. May many avail themselves to this ministry of God's Word that offers understanding to those "who have ears to hear." It is as C. H. Spurgeon said, "The Word of God will repay searching." Thank you, Pastor Gables, for your faithfulness to your calling to feed Christ's sheep.

“ GOD IN CONTROL !! ”
I am glad for predestination and to know that things are NOT happening helter-skelter. This is a wonderful sermon that reveals that life is not a series of random circumstances and chance happenings. God is orchestrating ALL THINGS and that is a comfort to me. I recommend the entire Joseph sermon series. It so much speaks to Romans 8:28.
