The good archbishop fails to realize that our final authority for faith and practice is the Bible, The Word of God. He also fails to realize that all reason must be based on Scriptural premises.
Our most basic hermaneutic is to be: "When the plain sense makes common sense, seek no other sense unless the particulars of the words compel you to do so."
The Bible's teachings on homosexuality are as plain as day, and God is not going to change His mind.
