"It is a religion of hope in a hopeless world, hope that your ordinary and mortal life can be elegant and meaningful, even if it will soon be dated, dusty, and discarded like a 2001 iPod."Rom 8:24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? This secular 'hope' is visual, felt, experienced and eventually lost. As Paul teaches a hope seen - is simply not a real hope. Those who suffer from this 'secular hope' are living in a dream of something better just round the corner. Under the domain of sin they are fooled into a false hope like the Liberal churches with their false religion. Blinded by Satan they seek worldly satisfactions such as mammon, covetousness, celebrity status and artificial beauty might provide. Such a hope is a sad and sorry existence which the reprobate seeks to overcome by his own limited abilities, only to find at the end failure and mortality. Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. |
