Bypassing all the discussion on predestination, and going back to the article; it seems that the article is confusing, or even equating Calvinism with the Purpouse Driven Church. I'm sure that they were probably discussing them seperatly, but whoever wrote the article seems to blend the two issues. The problem I have experienced, in the Baptist Church I attend, is that people are so against both issues, and so uneducated about Church History, that they actualy belive that Calvinism is responsible for the Purpouse Driven Church. Of course nothing could be further from the truth. As for the Cavinism-Evangalism debate I am an Evangelical Calvinist, and that is not only Biblical, but hisoricaly what most Calvinist believe.
As a native Hoosier I am grieved to see people from my home state departing so far from the Lord. Thankfully there are still some Christians standing up for whats right.
