Christopher000 wrote: Ridiculous. I have two nieces and a nephew on my wife's side. They have had iPads, iPods, smartphones, and gameboys, Nintendo's, Kindles, etc, since they were very young. Take them away for any amount of time, and look out. Not only that but the girls are never disciplined, appreciate nothing, respect nobody, including their parents, get waited on, and all they have to do is cry to receive cimfort when they should be sparked. I say spanked because nothing else works. Talk to the parents and they will tell you they are super parents raising the most well rounded girls. Frustrating. Well said Christopher! I have noticed this same phenomena in the "next" generation (I am an oldy of 63 years). So I observe it happening in our grandchildren. I wonder if this is common to the problem we identify in that "authority" in society is being removed. The church and the Bible is no longer respected as an authority in the community and even in some churches. Moral standards as an authority are being rejected in the generations. Justice is weakened and criminals receiving more quote "human rights" which are mollifying them. Other institutions such as education are suffering as an authority too. |

CV wrote: a) Christ has NOT called us to fight for, or save, a fallen church. b) He then uses us to save a fallen world for His glory. c) It is utter nonsense then, to say that the Elect will be saved from AMONGST a rebellious group, when by definition, the Elect because of their transformed mind, will not be found AMIDST that rebellious group a) Are you telling us that sinners in "church" will not be saved? Does this defeat God's purpose?b) Do sinners from the "world" go to church? Does denominalisation - or the bricks and mortars of a church building - reduce God's salvation purpose and power? c) So you are saying the "elect" cannot be saved by God from quote "a rebellious group"??? Tell me does the fallen world full of sinners count as "a rebellious group?" Thus do you establish that the elect cannot be saved from anywhere? Rom 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth." GOD saves sinners dead in sin!! From any circumstance. |
