Great Sermon! Really good sermon. I did challenge my Pastor and ended up having to leave, my choice. I'm now in a reformed church of elders, unlike a Pastor who appears to be accountable to no one. Sadly, unlike described as being intellectual, lettered, and sound in theology, my former Pastor wasn't although he relied heavily on the leading on the Spirit. So this was meaningful to me.
Great Sermon! I am so grateful to God for his Providence. I thank my God how he uses circumstances to bring about his purpose in our lives. His Providence led me to visit this church last August with my husband. While it was a different worship experience, I was spirituality fed and enjoyed the service. Pastor Briggs, this sermon was great, needed, and straight from the scriptures revealing the very heart of God. Thank you for your reliance on the Word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. My heart is full of thanksgiving.
Great Sermon! This was a really needed sermon that inspires, yet, is needed more for the many local churches that have been hijacked by the culture. We have bought into the tolerance, and I'm Ok, You're Ok culture. We want to be liked. We want to make people comfortable.
Also Pastor Steve, I was really moved when you asserted that we must really hate sinners when we refuse to tell them the truth of the gospel which actually may inoculate them then from hearing the truth.
I wish this sermon could be preached at my church.
Great Sermon! The audio was not as clear on this one. Is there a transcript because I only got 3 of the four Awakening Truths, unless the means to awaken sinners was 3 and 4, the Spirit and the Word. It ended abruptly too.
Great Sermon! I did a whole lot of gulpin' with this one, but I know, but I know, but I know you preach the clear truth!! I grew up in a home that was all about the JBS and the red, white and blue, and chapter mtings and such!! I feel literally sick to think of how deceived I've been. There are no sufficient words to say "Thankyou"!!
Great Sermon! Not only a timely subject, but a great example of expository preaching. Many young preachers wpould do well to learn from Dr. Bloom's style of exegesis. Doctrinally deep, yet very practical and well taught.
