Jim Lincoln, as a Christian and from one brother to another, you make me truly sick and disgusted. How can you set there and blast President-elect Trump for things he might have said or done in the past? You truly are exalting yourself higher than you ought to be! Oh, but that's right, you NEVER sinned in your entire life, you're perfect. YOU NEED TO STOP CASTING STONES! I also can't believe for the life of me that you would rather support a person who is a close friend of Evil George Soros and of one who looks up to a wicked satanist known as Aliester Crowley! Please refrain from attacking President Trump any further because if this is the will of God [and many Christians believe it it], then in reality, it is God that you are fighting against! Please cease immediately and begin to act and conduct yourself more Christ-like! Enough said.
We need to stop rewriting the Word of God and accept it as it is...The Word of God...the King James Bible! The KJB truly takes the presence of the Holy Spirit to understand it; without it you WILL have difficulty understanding.
Great Sermon! I listen to this service 10 years and one day after it was preached and oh how sad this country has gotten. but we can still do what's right by standing up for God and obey him even if we are hanged tortured or burned alive and are bodies tossed into a pile with are brethren it will be all worth it if we make to Heaven.
Who cares what Oprah has to say; unless your one of those under her spell. And TD Jakes! Really?! False teacher of all false teachers! Who cares what TD has to say; that is, unless you have itching ears!
You haven't seen nothing yet; just wait until Obummer's Syrian refugees get settled here in the US! Islam is God's punishment in a nation when they turn from him. How many times did God tell Israel to turn back to him, and then he would heal their land? Just sayin.
The ESV is to remain permanently unchanged; it is to remain permanently corrupt forever just like the rest of the false per-versions out there. Thanks for letting us know; now it can be forever avoided. Oh that's right, it's already been avoided.
The KJB says, For the time will come when they will not endure sound DOCTRINE; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears FROM THE TRUTH, and shall be turned UNTO FABLES. - (2 Timothy 4:3-4)
They are being turned from sound DOCTRINE, not teaching, as these modern perversions say. Doctrine here is the Word of God, the Gospel; it is something that exists. Teaching gives the impression of something you do, showing actions.
The opposite of sound doctrine is to be turned from the truth, a fable. The word 'teaching' can be a truth or a fable. Doctrine is always 'truth'.
Connor from CA writes: He's given mercy by Jesus, in that, Jesus hasn't killed him yet.
Tell me Connor, when has Jesus ever killed anyone? The fact is, Jesus has killed NO ONE! But rather it is because of ones own sin(s) that a man dies. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the LIFE". Jesus does not kill nor bring death; that would be Satan, the devil.
Great Sermon! I was encouraged to evaluate how I spend my spare time: watching television or on the computer, more than I spend reading the Bible, reading Christian books, preaching the cross to myself. Not that every minute is devoted to this, we all need a break. But am I on the road of developing a heavenly mindset as Col 3:1-4 encourages us to do? Prioritize God first...not things in this world. He only completely satisfies.
Michael Hranek from Chickamauga, GA for the moment writes:
"BTW I don't know about you but I am quite serious. I need to pray and seek God for His will in my life, in the very difficult and perilous times we are living in..."
There is a difference between you (a believer in God), and Bloomberg who says 'if there is a God'. I never said anything about not praying for the brethren.
Bloomberg has out of his own mouth condemned himself, pray for him if you want. However, once God gives someone over to a reprobate mind (i.e.: Bloomberg), there is no amount of prayers that will convince God to listen to any man. It is a sad thing when God gives one over to a reprobate mind; there is no more hope for that person.
"I am telling you if there is a God, when I get to heaven I’m not stopping to be interviewed. I am heading straight in."
"If there is a God"? Sorry Bloomberg, your not getting in and you will definitely not be the strong man who thinks he can just barge into God's house! Out of your own mouth, you will burn in Hell; right where you belong!
There is no need to pray for this man,...he made his bed.
Great Sermon! I never thought of Pvb. 31 being addressed to a man to use as a description of what to look for in a wife. Great point. I agree with pastor that to have a wife like this is a blessing. I have always viewed my wife as a gift from God and I get emotional when God reminds me about this through his word. I can't wait for the rest of the series
Great Sermon! I love sermons where the gravity of the gospel is felt. This sermon and the one RC preached earlier today "Banquet of God", are real soul searchers. I love how the Spirit uses his preaching to reveal how serious a matter salvation really is. Great preaching!
Great Sermon! Amazing sermon....at first glance I thought oh no, another sermon on money. But this spoke to my heart which typifies pastor Caldwell's sermons. Where is our treasure? Our material rich society tests our heart in light of the message of Jesus given here. Very good listen and pray to apply.
Great Sermon! Great encouragement to remain faithful to our unchanging God. To grow in the understanding of God's love for the unlovely (my nature before Christ) is an ocean of blessing. God has loved me because of his predetermined will to do so. Many fight against Gods electing love for His people, but its in the Bible from start to finish. As we grow in our understanding of this, we will want to give God our best in worship and obedience in our walk before Him. It is a sin to not know how God has loved us as the people asked in the opening verses of Malachi. God has bought us with a high price and will care for us in every way. All that I am and have belongs to Him.
Great Sermon! I appreciated the encouragement to have a holy violence toward sin. How often I have brushed sin aside and written it off with 'that's just the way I am'or 'everybody does it'-Oh to be like Him....
