Wonderful teaching with broad application to the Christian life. Its difficult to apply but resonates with truth for the believer.

I was encouraged to evaluate how I spend my spare time: watching television or on the computer, more than I spend reading the Bible, reading Christian books, preaching the cross to myself. Not that every minute is devoted to this, we all need a break. But am I on the road of developing a heavenly mindset as Col 3:1-4 encourages us to do? Prioritize God first...not things in this world. He only completely satisfies.

Michael Hranek from Chickamauga, GA for the moment writes:

"BTW I don't know about you but I am quite serious. I need to pray and seek God for His will in my life, in the very difficult and perilous times we are living in..."

There is a difference between you (a believer in God), and Bloomberg who says 'if there is a God'. I never said anything about not praying for the brethren.

Bloomberg has out of his own mouth condemned himself, pray for him if you want. However, once God gives someone over to a reprobate mind (i.e.: Bloomberg), there is no amount of prayers that will convince God to listen to any man. It is a sad thing when God gives one over to a reprobate mind; there is no more hope for that person.

"I am telling you if there is a God, when I get to heaven I’m not stopping to be interviewed. I am heading straight in."

"If there is a God"? Sorry Bloomberg, your not getting in and you will definitely not be the strong man who thinks he can just barge into God's house! Out of your own mouth, you will burn in Hell; right where you belong!

There is no need to pray for this man,...he made his bed.

I never thought of Pvb. 31 being addressed to a man to use as a description of what to look for in a wife. Great point. I agree with pastor that to have a wife like this is a blessing. I have always viewed my wife as a gift from God and I get emotional when God reminds me about this through his word. I can't wait for the rest of the series

I love sermons where the gravity of the gospel is felt. This sermon and the one RC preached earlier today "Banquet of God", are real soul searchers. I love how the Spirit uses his preaching to reveal how serious a matter salvation really is. Great preaching!

Love how pastor always speaks of God's absolute sovereignty and man's utter inability to do anything Godward apart from God's grace.

Amazing sermon....at first glance I thought oh no, another sermon on money. But this spoke to my heart which typifies pastor Caldwell's sermons. Where is our treasure? Our material rich society tests our heart in light of the message of Jesus given here. Very good listen and pray to apply.

Sermon:
Malachi In A Sermon
Richard Caldwell Jr.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Great encouragement to remain faithful to our unchanging God. To grow in the understanding of God's love for the unlovely (my nature before Christ) is an ocean of blessing. God has loved me because of his predetermined will to do so. Many fight against Gods electing love for His people, but its in the Bible from start to finish. As we grow in our understanding of this, we will want to give God our best in worship and obedience in our walk before Him. It is a sin to not know how God has loved us as the people asked in the opening verses of Malachi. God has bought us with a high price and will care for us in every way. All that I am and have belongs to Him.

I appreciated the encouragement to have a holy violence toward sin. How often I have brushed sin aside and written it off with 'that's just the way I am'or 'everybody does it'-Oh to be like Him....

This sermon really opened my eyes to the biblical Jesus; it made me examine my view of Jesus and has caused me to repent of self-centered beliefs I had of Christ and his purpose for saving us;thank you for your consistent and faithful preaching week after week;

Double Predestination - Part 2

“ Great Sermon! ”
Reprobation is difficult doctrine but it's in the Bible. I always thought God passed over unsaved people, but pastor has taught rightly that God chooses some for salvation and others for damnation. We can't pick and choose verses from the Bible, but have to receive the whole Bible. If the word of God (Bible) crosses our thinking, we need to change our thinking. God is God and He never needs to justify himself. His counsels will stand. I appreciate pastor teaching this doctrine and will seek to understand more and more.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Its amazing to see how interwoven the doctrines of grace are throughout the Bible. To realize and grow in the knowledge that salvation is all of God, makes for a life of tremendous gratitude to God for allowing me to receive and accept his gospel. I need to grow in thankfulness to God for this glorious truth that pastor Richard faithfully exposited here in the parable of the 4 soils. May God grant this to all believers in greater and greater measure.

Wow, wow, wow!Incredible wisdom from such a simple passage. God is sovereign and uses us as He sees fit and places us where he chooses. Who am I that He would choose one like me..."Lord, be it done to me according to thy word."

Very practical and applicable encouragement for today. Bro Richard really opens the word well. I like his consistent encouragement through the exposition of scripture, to live out of the gospel everyday, in every situation. I am seeking to do this more in my life, and bring more glory to God.

Qualities of A Good Servant - Part 2

“ Great Sermon! ”
Fantastic sermon...very motivating. As always, I am challenged by RC sermons to examine myself in light of the scripture. A sheep/goat sermon of sorts. Very good reminder on common grace vs. effectual grace of God. How bad do we want to hear from our Lord "well done"? The answer to this will be evident in our effort to be pleasing to Him. This is a great listen and I pray for God to work this in us/me.

Saved Through Childbearing

“ Great Sermon! ”
Great exposition on difficult verse that culminates this section of Tim 2:8-15. I always come away from RC's sermons, challenged to believe the Bible. Underneath every message is 'am I going to believe what the word says, that its the truth, and therefor live it out in my life'. I love his emphasis on our need for God's grace in order to live according to God's design. A lot of my failure to live out his word is due to my fleshly efforts. I need to pray daily for God to empower me, so his rule can be my life. Thank you pastor RC.
