SJJ,
I appreciate your humble assessment and if I may; I agree The Word of God is to be preferred always, for without it, How could we test the spirits; 1 John 4:1-4. We, all of us struggle in the flesh. But if you have some time on the Lord's Day I believe you would find 'Christ, the Way, the Truth and the Life' by John Brown of Wamphrey from Sola Deo Gloria very helpful. I have just taking little bits, at a time to meditate on and it has helped my understanding of the Scripture applied to real life.
New in Focus,

Your statement that, "the Word of God is to be preferred" is critical, however, how do we avoid the article's pitfall: "Many Born-Again Christians Hold Universalist Views"?

The book you referenced, 'Christ, the Way, the Truth and the Life' may help guide the lost to Christ. But surely the Scripture is enough, right?

However, why don't 25-40% of born-again Christians know that Jesus is the only Way, the only Truth and the only life for one to get to the Father?

With the literacy rate in significant decline, perhaps many more will be lost if we're counting on them to read their Bibles.
