But even the apostle Paul said I die daily, so there is not a Christian who is breathing who does not battle daily with sin. The key here is we do battle.
And;
1John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Yes. No one is justified by [the ceremonial] works of the Law, Gal. 2:16.

If we don't follow (obey) Jesus and His Word every day of our lives (future faith), how can we be ultimately saved?

2John:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds"
Whatever happened to "fight the good fight" where you are instead of merely heading for the hills? Why may PCUSA conservatives not remain, pray and work for a reversal of this sinful doctrine?

'do thy diligence'

Does this not also fit the context???

Geneva Bible also uses 'study'

2Tim 2:15 (9) Study to shew thyself approved unto God a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, (*) dividing the word of truth (e) aright.

Footnotes.
(9) The fifth admonition: A minister must not be an idle disputer, but a faithful steward in dividing aright the word of truth, in so much that he must stop the mouths of other vain babblers.
(*) Giving to every one his just portion. Wherein he alludeth to the Priests of the old Law which in their sacrifice gave to God his part, took their own part and gave to him that brought the sacrifice his duty. (e) By adding nothing to it, neither over skipping anything, neither mangling it, nor renting it asunder, nor wresting of it; but marking diligently what his hearers are able to hear, and what is fit to edifying."

1) Let Scripture explain idols and images, Seaton. You left out of the 2nd Commandment the part about not bowing down to them. Convenient to the cause, but misleading....

2) ....the purpose of worshipping it is sin. It is not to forbid making an image of anything at all ...

3) I know no one who worships hymns, even if you do imaginatively stretch the idea of a hymn to be an "image."

1) How do you "carve" this "idol" Mike?

Col 3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is IDOLATRY:"

2) Whose talking about pictures? Idolatry is from the human heart not the inanimate object in view.

3) You live a very sheltered life Mike. Lucky you!

"To the best of my understanding in talking with Norman; Lexiconis went on to glory probably early last October just about the time John UK moved up to Pembrookshire. He had a bad heart according to Stormin Norman hence all the chat between him and John Lee about the different pills and doctor visits."

Norman, is Lexiconis dead? Did you tell Lurker that he was dead?

Dead or alive, can anybody remember anything he stood for other than chirp?

And I wonder -- what will people remember any of us for?
