Great Sermon! The following is an apropos book review for _Godly Seed: American Evangelicals Confront Birth Control, 1873-1973_ by Dr. Allan Carlson, the Howard Center President, author and Lutheran Church member: "Evangelical Christians wanting self-esteem therapy should not read this book. This provocative volume, by one of the world's foremost family issues scholars, suggests that perhaps American Evangelicalism unwittingly traded the Blessed Virgin Mary for Margaret Sanger. The arguments are hard-hitting and unrelenting. Reading this book is like seeing an unwelcome reflection in a mirror. But it just might start a conversation that is well worth having." ~Russell D. Moore, Dean, School of Theology, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. This is the filth we get when we "trade in the Blessed Virgin Mary for Margaret Sanger." This is just as applicable for the Catholic as the Evangelical. Kudos to this priest for stating the truth in love. May many pastors be as bold to denounce blatant evil incessantly being pumped into our homes and churches from Hollywood, cable, best-selling book and Internet sewer systems. |
