All show God approving rebellion via arms as does the 1 Kings 12 ( unless you want to go back to the fairy tale that the 10 tribes were unarmed)

Re-Elijah- Here the ruling authority is Ahab and Jezebel. Elijah as God’s prophet is, governmentally speaking, what we would denominate a lesser magistrate. Elijah is victorious at Mt. Carmel and under the authority and instruction of this lesser magistrate the people enter into armed resistance against the prophetic class of Ahab’s Kingdom by seizing them and bringing them to Elijah for execution. Keep in mind also, that an assault on the King’s men has always been considered an assault on the King. Were we to follow the reasoning of those who contend it is never a Christian’s duty to enter into armed resistance against duly appointed governing authority we would have to conclude that the people were wrong for following Elijah against Ahab. Armed resistance to previously God appointed governing authorities appears to be sometimes Biblical.
