Death can come suddenly to anyone at any age. Be prepared. Think soberly.
Good advice brother,

I have taken great pains preparing for when the Lord calls me home. I will enter into eternal bliss, but those we leave behind will have to adjust in many ways. I love the comforts the Lord gives us in 1 Corinthians 15 below:

1 Corinthians 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I agree brother, well said. Freedom of speech and freedom of religion are illusions "everywhere" in the world. The unsaved hate our Lord and Savior.

This law is simply a get out of jail free card. People who for whatever reasons couldn’t fulfill their societal responsibilities; to work and raise a family are now considered victims instead of perpetrators. My doctor considers all drug and alcohol addictions to be simply diseases and that generally means no punishment, but only treatment. You don’t punish someone for having a disease.

Most of us realize that addiction leads to crime and more addiction. The below is a democrat talking point:

“It is past time to end the failed "War on Drugs," which has imprisoned millions of Americans--disproportionately Black people and Latinos--and hasn't been effective in reducing drug use. Democrats support policies that will reorient our public safety approach toward prevention, and away from over-policing--including by making evidence-based investments in jobs, housing, education, and the arts that will make our nation fairer, freer, and more prosperous.”

In their minds, socialism will solve this problem.

Yes Dean, this is appropriate for the last days!

An interesting verse I ran across awhile ago:
Hosea 9:11
As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception.
We see the whole cycle of the beginning of life here, and God walks us right back to the point of conception.
Amen, and thank you for the scripture and comment. Life does begin at conception.

Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

I truly pray that Harris/Biden ticket loses. I know that God may in fact choose Biden (He chose Obama and Clinton to name just a couple), but He didn’t get my help in doing that. But our Lord reigns supreme and whatever He decides is perfect for His will and justice and our futures.

Come quickly Lord Jesus, come quickly.

The catholic hierarchy is the best at misdirection. By interjecting this “out of context” thought, they are satisfying catholics who are against homosexual unions while keeping those who are for them. The catholics have always been known for absorbing their deviants. IOW, pay homage to the pope, do the catholic sacraments and all is well with them.

Or as the crusaders were told to do; “convert and repent later”.

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

(1) better health for women, (2) the preservation of human life, (3) strengthening of family as the foundational unit of society, and (4) protecting every nation's national sovereignty in global politics. For example, it is the sovereign right of every nation to make their own laws in regard to abortion, absent external pressure.

Abortions are not normally done because of health concerns or because of a lack of healthcare. They are done because raising a child demands much sacrifice and love; therefore they are an inconvenience. Yes, all life should be preserved. Especially the innocent unborn lives. IMO, the family is the most important institution that God created. The above number 4 simply gives every nation the right to disagree with any pro-life statements made.

The above 1-4 sound simply like a political statement that gives lip service to saving innocent babies. But I praise the Lord for keeping this issue in the forefront. If it saves just 1 little life, it is worth it in my opinion.

I wonder if they would say the same thing about murdering your neighbor or murder during a theft. Rhetorical questions.

Brother John,

Thanks for clarifying things for me. The below are some of my thoughts.

The harlot is referred to as a woman and also as mystery Babylon. There is a geographical reference that indicates this “woman” likely represents the city of Rome. Rome, when speaking of religion, has throughout history been a reference to the Catholic Church. The city on 7 hills. Many disagree with this geographical reference.

The pope claims to be literally Christ on earth and because of his influence, he will be able to convince the over a billion catholics to follow the antichrist. The popes are on record for saying the Muslims and Christians worship the same God and they currently have tremendous political influence throughout the world.

This has to be a worldwide movement and that doesn't fit Israel's influence.

All catholics will take the mark of the beast because of the pope’s mandate. And the RCC will hunt down all those that don’t.

Sorry this was a little rushed. My wife and I are going out to a fancy restaurant. Nothing is too good for my dear wife.

Hi Frank, and thanks for your post and scripture texts.
In verse 7 we see the sovereign purposes of God which no man can argue with.
As for the beast and the dragon, have you reached a conclusion as to who or what these things might be? I am still pondering your belief that the 'great whore' is the RCC, and Bro US's astute statement that just because certain things are mentioned in the OT, it does not necessarily mean that similar mentions in the NT point to them being the same, or even a fulfilment of prophecy (with an example given).
Also bro, do you believe these things in the chapter are yet to occur in the history of the world, or have already happened?
Hey brother,

I believe the beast represents the antichrist and the dragon satan.

I didn’t read U.S. comment, but I would say from your comment that they don’t have to be different, and they could be the same. To say they are all different because one might be is poor hermeneutics.

Which chapter are you referring to?

Please let me know as I would be happy to opine.

As you have probably noticed, I will gladly give my opinion on end-time issues, but I won't debate them on the forum.

I have often done it via emails and no one has changed their minds.

Reminds me a little of the holocaust. Many thought the murder of the Jews was okay, but selling their teeth, hair and skin was monstrous.

If these murderers don’t repent and throw themselves at the mercy of the cross, they will pay in full.

I could care less what this Archbishop says or thinks, but I do know the below will occur and wouldn’t it be a blessing if it happened soon! I also like to note that “all” that dwell on this earth whose names are not in the book of life will worship the antichrist.

Revelation 13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

It is impossible for a Christian to vote for Harris/Biden. I say that somewhat reluctantly because I hate politics as you know. How can anyone who claims the name of Christ say:

All abortions are okay anytime.
Homosexual unions is okay anytime.

And especially that Christianity is an inclusive religion.

I agree that satan will not cast his demons out of anyone, but he can pretend to do so and lure cultural Christians to believe they are serving our Lord and Savior. My guess is the term catholic is synonymous with Christianity in 99% of the world today. To say otherwise brands you as hateful and judgmental. I was raised catholic and during that time, no catholic said they were Christians, but catholic. And now look!

Matthew 12:26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

Sin will always be found out and punished. It would be interesting to hear what the Almighty God thinks of the demonic NK regime and their atrocities. If we knew, would it alter our doctrine in any way?
Brother John, my guess is you are referring to the below and I agree. We know some, but we don’t know remotely the way our perfect heavenly Father thinks. I liken my understanding to a grain of sand on a beach.

Isaiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

The democrats are worse because they demand that a woman be able to murder their unborn for any reason at any time. The republicans add caveats, like safe, rare and personal and the health of the mother. Both are wrong, but the democrats are more wrong. A woman goes to PP and says if I have this child I will kill myself. There is the health of the mother. Our tax dollars then kick in. Over 500 million still goes to PP.

Anyway, I despise Trump and his whole family, but I voted for him recently and of course support him over the Harris/Biden ticket.

Does the below sound rare, safe and personal?

http://prolifephysicians.org/app/?page_id=2

"When the life of the mother is truly threatened by her pregnancy, if both lives cannot simultaneously be saved, then saving the mother’s life must be the primary aim. If through our careful treatment of the mother’s illness the pre-born patient inadvertently dies or is injured, this is tragic and, if unintentional, is not unethical and is consistent with the pro-life ethic. But the intentional killing of an unborn baby by abortion is never necessary."

Brother John,

Glad to see you posting again. My position is that the RCC is the great whore, but it is what you and I refer to as a secondary issue. IOW, the great whore will become known one day and then we will know. Having the correct viewpoint doesn’t affect us at all in the present. It appears that some of our posters make it a primary issue which doesn’t surprise me. Hate is impossible to control. If the RCC is the great whore, they are evil. If they are not the great whore, they are evil; so ….

Proverbs 6:20-32
20. My son, keep your father’s commandment, and don’t forsake your mother’s teaching. 21. Bind them continually on your heart. Tie them around your neck. 22. When you walk, it will lead you. When you sleep, it will watch over you. When you awake, it will talk with you. 23. For the commandment is a lamp, and the law is light. Reproofs of instruction are the way of life, 24. to keep you from the immoral woman, from the flattery of the wayward wife’s tongue. 25. Don’t lust after her beauty in your heart, neither let her captivate you with her eyelids. 26. For a prostitute reduces you to a piece of bread. The adulteress hunts for your precious life. 27. Can a man scoop fire into his lap, and his clothes not be burned? 28. Or can one walk on hot coals, and his feet not be scorched? 29. So is he who goes in to his neighbor’s wife. Whoever touches her will not be unpunished. 30. Men don’t despise a thief if he steals to satisfy himself when he is hungry, 31. but if he is found, he shall restore seven times. He shall give all the wealth of his house.
Yes, both of you. You do realize that you didn't deny my comment was appropriate.

None of the below are godly.

double-tongued marked by deliberate deceptiveness especially by pretending one set of feelings and acting under the influence of another.

Eisegesis:-The process of taking a preconceived belief and interpreting a biblical passage in a way that supports that belief. This is a very common phenomenon, although the interpreter is not generally conscious of the process.

Pragmatism is a philosophical approach that interprets truth based upon practical effects. According to pragmatism, truth is what is practical and useful. Thus, something is deemed “true” if it is practical and it works and “untrue” if it does not work. Pragmatists often view metaphysical speculations as irrelevant since they bring no practical benefits.
