"So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God’s rest has also rested from his works as God did from His. Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience." Hebrews 4:9-11 ESVChrist has accomplished it all. We have no need to work for our salvation. We can rest in His work on our behalf. That's what the Sabbath is all about. It was looking forward to Christ. Christ is our Sabbath Rest. We have no further need to worry about following legalistic rules about refraining from all work on Saturdays or Sundays -- especially because there's not one passage in the New Testament that can be found to say that the Sabbath was switched to Sunday. This whole battle over trading on Sunday is quite fruitless, because if people would just lay aside their traditions and hold to Scripture alone, they would see that God has already given them rest and that the Sabbath is a part of the Old Covenant that was accomplished and fulfilled by Christ. May God be glorified as we keep the Sabbath by resting from our works, our attempts to get right with Him by ourselves, and trusting in Christ alone for our salvation, not our adherence to an old, unbiblical, legalistic idea that the Sabbath is on Sund |

Ah, yes, Jim, I am on a mobile device. Thank you for clarifying. It all makes sense now, as I was going to be quite surprised if you didn't know the five solas. |
