To name a few branches of corruption in society, I can think of a whole bunch who gat their hand in the pot, for the love of money, and root of all evil. Lookat all of us, forced to making a way for a buck the way it best suits, or is so ever desperately founded. And if the infinite sinfulness of mankind ever gave place for the brotherhood to prosper and to speak freely, that we did so in total obedience to Christ, we ought not to take away from the Romans what things they are indeed allowed. As Paul would not overcharge a whole people with fault that was not their's, so is it for the hope that the offering of the out-of-the-way-Gentiles might be made acceptable to our Lord who was crucified. Who ever hated the days of humble and little things? But all of it is about to be shaken, because of the abominable looting of men's birthrights, and the diminshing of the rights and value of the poor and working people. As long as these things are kept back by fraud, so are the losses of the opressors going to mount up in their sight. |

Do you know what the Bible says? Maybe you need to have a read throughout? Here's just one:Psalm 71:20 "Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth. (v.21) Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side." |

Just holding out the Holy Bible is like the plow breaking up the fallow ground, and to read it aloud, and to speak according to the book of the Lord is a sword out of sheath: may our hands cleave to it.If they cannot speak with you in peace (as we with them), then they must be sword-less. Or let the counsel and power of their prophet compare, if it can. Zephaniah chapter 2 is a HEAVY hitter for the faith, not least, for these verses: Zephaniah 2:10 "This shall they have for their pride, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of the LORD of hosts. (v.11) The LORD will be terrible unto them: b for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the heathen." |

Not that the LORD delights in his righteous men less, or that, God forbid, a worthy man could not be found in all Israel, that his Spirit once chose Deborah to work deliverance (what is deliverance outside of the faith of Christ, exceedingly wise? nothing I figure).Whereas, if she read Paul aloud, she would not be speaking, but Paul. Or if the Holy Ghost spake by her (again, what is the Holy Ghost saying outside of the doctrine of Christ? Nothing: quiet silence.), what has been revealed to her that we do not already know? Maybe it will turn out to be that she be among the first to realize their role in matters of humility, and these people may realize that in many things their mother's and father's took too much upon themselves: namely the graven arts, and haughty garments, and what other things may be rightly witnessed against them. |
