Although I am yet to understand fully, I am coming to an understanding of the significance of 'visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me...' (Exodus 20:5 KJV) in regard to genetics and inheritance. I believe all things 'physical' have their basis in the spiritual. Jim seems to miss that point. It appears that in His Wisdom God has made sure that those who reject Him will, in their iniquity, pass said iniquity down the genetic line. The consequences of iniquity manifests in various 'physical' (visibly observable) and spiritual (non-visibly observable, yet often still observable indirectly) illnesses/diseases; these are what the medico-scientific community call inherited diseases. Does this mean that if we have inherited them we are stuck with them for this lifetime on Earth? Not necessarily, because all things can be overcome through Christ. How Christ brings that healing about is another issue altogether, but the fact that He can heal from all afflictions is undeniable. Is everything inherited? Not necessarily in the way described above; e.g. 'common cold', flu, gastro, other 'transmissible' diseases; and yet, in a way, we are even 'inheriting' these from others, only not always from our blood relatives. Hey folks! There are many most excellent sermons here on SA on the subject of divorce and remarriage, including what Biblical marriage actually is, particularly the relationship of God, man, and woman. It is the relationship, as God created the relationship, that is the key to successful marriage. As a divorcee of almost 10 year's duration thus far, I know it is my responsibility to have God make clear these matters to me before plunging into marriage again. In fact, it wasn't till having having some things made clear to me by God, that I believed I would have to remain single (a divorcee) for the remainder of my life on earth. Praise God, I now know that is not true. However, God still has some way to go with me in my pre-marital training before I'll be more fully prepared to re-enter into marriage. I just pray that He is doing the same for the one He is preparing for me. km from va: a most helpful post, thank you. Unprofitable Servant: wise words from you, as usual, thank you. And thank you to the SA community in general; the Love of Christ to you all. Many thanks from Andy. |

Psalm 14:1 KJV: "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God." The 'There is' was added in translation. The fool says, 'No God.' The fool knows there is a God, but says 'No God', no to God, rejects God, denies God. Attenborough has his agenda. He says, 'No God.' he has built a life and lived a life which, like so many God-deniers, has supported him materially in a very comfortable way. The world loves its own. Of course his agenda, the agenda, includes the depopulation agenda of the NWO. Satan hates humanity. It's no surprise to see Attenborough come out in support of Satan's agenda. In fact, it is unavoidable for the evolutionist, the eco-fascist; they must condone depopulation to 'save the planet' from the cancer that is humanity. We can pray for him, but I doubt Sir Dave will hear THE Gospel. |

Disregarding the fallacy of Charles Darwin's theory of evolution for a moment; if 'science', and the 'scientific method' is so awesome, Who do these people think it is that gave them science? I suppose they think they gave it to themselves, or it somehow 'evolved'? Although many things attributed to 'science' are indeed wonderful, I attribute them to God, not to some man-devised 'scientific method'. Give glory to God, not the man. The theory of evolution is indeed faith-based. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1 KJV). Unfortunately, the theory of evolution is not THE faith (of the Gospel). These are the blind leading the blind, and they will all fall into the ditch. Let us pray that God gives them THE faith. While imagination is a gift of God, vain imagination should be avoided. I prefer to imagine Heaven, with Christ. |
