Deuteronomy refers to cross dressing not the wearing of pants or breeches. We need to be honest here. Both men and women wore tunics back then. I believe God called women especially to be modest in their dressing as He knew men are visual creatures. A woman can wear skirts that are tight and short and be immodest. A woman can wear loose pants that give her shape no definition. Putting it down to whether you wear a skirt or pants would be unreasonable. I know godly women who wear pants and who wear skirts. And it is more modest to Wear pants with a long shirt when you are doing an active activity such as hiking or playing sport.

I agree Christopher. The parents instead of blaming the church could have investigated when and where these feelings started. There could have been molestation or even emotional abuse somehow. Even an inattentiveor absent father or overbearing mother can cause a child to become confused.
Obama hasn't been very smart in some of his comments regarding this incident and the Troy Martin one. He fuels the racism instead of de escalating it. And people need to stop thinking about whether a white man killed a black man or a black man killed a white man. The colour of the skin shouldn't affect the judgement of the incident. Justice needs to be done and though it's sad the boy died. ... He wasn't a complete Angel. His parents need to stop looking at the situation so emotionally.

I agree. Otherwise children that have been aborted are in hell. And what about disabled people who in their minds are still like 3 year olds? Yes we are all born with a sinful nature. That doesn't mean you automatically go to hell. Because even when we are saved, though Christ's righteousness covers us, we still sin time and time again. Does that mean we go to hell? No. God is the searcher of all hearts. Let that judgement be up to Him.
So according to them.... disabled people have no right to live either if they are not self aware. Or even the elderly when they become acutely demented. This is so disgusting on so many levels. God forgive us
I think it would be more sin to divorce them and leave them without a supporting husband. It would be hard for the women to look after the kids and work to survive. Marriage is permanent and it's just unfortunate that he married more than one before he believed. Now he must live by example to others and to divorce all but one would be surely a stumbling block to them. It's like one guy in our church once said. .. To be truly repentant you must divorce your second wife and go back to the first. I think that's wrong. What if she's already married and has kids? And the Bible strictly says not to go back once you've divorced and been with another. It's definitely an interesting topic :-) What does everyone else think?

Come on guys. Does not love hope for the best of each person? Let's try not to put other people down especially when they've done the right thing and stepped down. It would be hard enough without getting kicked on your way down. Jesus is merciful and sometimes you just have to enter the lowest part of your life before you can understand His grace and mercy. He gives grace to the humble and resists the proud.

Christine. Question for you. .. which is a worse sin? Rape or the abortion of a child conceived rape. ?. If we were to use a harsh example. Is not life if the hand of God? And it is not judgemental to call a murderer a murderer. Which is what he is. Especially since he claims to be a brother. That is being truthful. To say you can't call him a murderer is a white washing of sin. Then you have no right to tell anyone of their sin. . Be it fornication, drugs, abortion etc
He says they are in the mother's control because they are dependant on the mother. .. That's silly. All children even after birth are dependant on their mother for milk and care! Does that mean s mother has every right to kill her 2 year old? Or 2 week old just coz she's changed her mind? Yes a woman has a choice! And it was her choice to have unprotected sex. Getting rid of the consequence takes away people's responsibility for their actions!
There shouldn't be name calling John. A lot of people can be deceived but you shouldn't belittle them. We were full of sin just as them before Christ did the saving work in us.
