"Serving up a rolling helping of salvation."

Hmmm.

Won't be too long before public prayer at NASCAR is unplugged.

This scandal will be a reason.

False accusation.

He apparently lovingly cohabitated with his wife (an unusual practice for a 16th Century UK king, who often had concubines living with him while his wife lived miles away in another castle) and produced 8 children, 3 surviving.

The Bible Christian takes Paul at his word thus - "as I delivered them to you."
"WE" Do not try to change the Bible in the name of a locally manufactured "tradition" by post Bible sinners.
"WE" stick to what GOD wrote!!
Original Word: ]]παράδοσις, εως, ἡ

Strong's Number:
3862 parádosis (from 3844 /pará, "from close-beside" and 1325 /dídōmi, "give over") – properly, give (hand over) from close-beside, referring to tradition as passed on from one generation to the next.

Although, what does your point have to do with Anders Breivik being a "Christian Extremist"?

The Roman Catholic Church teaches that the Bible AND TRADITION as interpreted by the Church are the final seat of authority in religion. JESUS CONDEMNED tradition as a rule for religious authority...
If so, Jesus and his Apostle Paul are in disagreement:

"Now I commend you because you remember me in everything and maintain the traditions even as I delivered them to you."

-1 Cor 11:2

Who has heard and retained these extra-biblical traditions from the Apostle Paul, but St. Peter and his successors?

How would the National Norwegian Church, the Lutheran Church, even know these traditions unless they borrowed them from St. Peter's Church, the RCC?

Remember one isn't a member of God's Church until one is saved. Papal bulls cannot produce, nor prevent, nor cause one to lose salvation.
Since I'm soundly saved by grace alone, thorough faith in Christ do I retain my salvation if I'm a member of the Southern Baptist Convention (which I was years ago) but lose it as a member of the Catholic Church (which I am now)?

Does signing a membership card somehow guard you in one organization yet later damn you in another?

If a papal bull has no eternal effect, why would a membership card even if it has the SBC logo at the top?

(Now that I think about it, I'm probably still a member of the SBC.)

I stand corrected.

After listening to Pr. Trevor Hammack's message No. 2 on Textual Criticism I realized that NPR is truly reporting facts about our Bibles.

There really are 17,000 pages of textual changes and an "evolution" of meaning is happening.

It'll be interesting to interrogate the database on critical verses to understand how the meaning has changed over the centuries -- and if there have even been reversals of meaning.

Protestants have been crying wolf for 350 years that the Pope is "that [one patently evil] Antichrist."

If this were true, it would be highly unlikely that Satan would use this same old tired tactic to attack Christ's Church in the 21st Century or later.

(However it's true that some popes have been patently evil).

Now, most Protestants (if they still care about this all-but-over academic disagreement) are weary and a bit sheepish and have down-graded their once-strident position (]]WCF 1646).

They now are forced to subscribe to something akin to this toothless statement about the many, many subsequent popes since the 17th Century debate:

"all popes are anti-Christs."

Why did they change their foundational doctrine?

Isn't salvation a work of the will by the grace of Christ alone to have faith in and obedience to Him both today and everyday until He calls us home?

If I were to complete a membership card, put it in the plate and sit in the pew on Sundays at a local SBC (like I did years ago), how would this help me?

Also, if a real Islamic threat ever did materialize (which is very unlikely), how would being a member of the SBC, for example, help ward off the threat?

How can the Pope be the Antichrist when he's the most pro-life leader on the planet even protecting the embryo -- truly "the least of these"?

For this reason alone one could convert to the Roman Catholic Church.

However, my family and I converted from the PCA (WCF 1646) for this reason and many more.

Besides all of the other adjectives attributed to ]]Anders Behring Breivik, he is apparently also "pro-gay."

Doesn't sound like he ever was a follower of Christ.

I notice people get caught up in bashing other denominations alot. There may be things we disagree on, but the bottom line is whether or not denominations believe that accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior is the ONLY way to heaven. Can I hear a hearty amen?

Roman Catholics will continue to bend the knee to the (so-called) papal antichrist

**(Matt 16:18 Jesus' and Peter's successor)

AND the Scriptures

**(as I did when converting: I knelt and kissed the Bible repenting of the unbiblical doctrines of Sola Scriptura and Sola Fide remaining in the PCA's confessions)

AND join the growing list of (so-called) idolaters

**(Ex 25:18-19 - make two cherubim of beaten gold)

who have fallen on the (so-called) idolatrous

**(Rev 12:1 - Mary with crown of 12 stars)

(so-called) blasphemous

**(Jn 6:53 - eat My flesh)

sword

**(of self-righteousness).

Check. Check. Check.

That Willow Creek leaders are teaming with the RCC is a blessing for them and their 1,000,000s of followers.

Mega-Church leaders will continue to bend the knee to the Seeker, rather than the Scriptures, and join the growing list of Mainlines who have fallen on the homosexual sword.

First the Mainlines teeter and fall on the homosexual sword:

(1.) Church of Christ.
(2.) Episcopal/Anglican Church.
(3.) Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
(4.) Church of Scotland (Presbyterian).
(5.) Presbyterian Church (USA).
(6.) United Methodist Church (Pending).

Now the Mega-Church is teetering, too?

Christ have mercy upon us.

There is NO "requirement" for salvation. Repeat NONE!!
Christ saves unworthy sinners. The elect are reconciled and saved by the death and life of Christ. (Rom 5:10)
As for the churches you list The Roman Catholic and the Eastern Orthodox cannot read the Bible!
This is illustrated by the idolatrous practices and stupid relics which they worship and of course the blasphemous mass which they perform. These are satanic heretical practices therefore REAL Christians know NOT to attend these UnBiblical evil rituals.
As this article points out this Lutheran denomination describes the "papacy" as the antichrist which is correct. The various nefarious and satanic rituals such as idolatry of dead people, idolatry of relics such as bits of wood and bodies are pagan type rituals that only an organisation run by antichrist would participate in.
THIS IS NOT (R) NOT WHAT REAL BIBLICAL CHRISTIANS DO!! NOR DO THEY ATTEND SUCH!!
What about these Reformation theological novums (Circa 1520)?

(1.) Sola Scriptura.
(2.) Sola Fide.
(3.) Private interpretation.

Can one be saved even if he subscribes to these unbiblical doctrines?

1 - NO! I would urge Catholics to flee both Catholicism and its everyone of its Popes and flee to the Lord Jesus Christ
It is one thing to sin quite another to betray Christ and teach heresy like ]]CCC 841 which even a 5 point Calvininst can accurately refute on solid Biblical grounds.
Catholics should certainly NOT have followed John Paul's lead but rather should have forsaken him as a very false teacher indeed.
2 - Stories?
Baptismal Regeneration
Church built on Peter (NOT Christ)
Papal Infallibility
Mary Comediatrix of all Graces
Purgatory
Perpetual Virginity of Mary
Indulgences
Transubstantiation
The Mass (repeated reoffering Jesus as a Sacrifice)
(1.) I would encourage all to flee to the RCC. As good as the PCA and SBC are, I'm thankful I did.

(2.) You listed doctrines/dogmas. To be fair one could easily argue that the Reformation's key theological novums (e.g., Sola Scriptura, Sola Fide, private interpretation) are not biblical.

What story is the RCC telling that is untruthful?
