CCC:
]]290 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth": three things are affirmed in these first words of Scripture: the eternal God gave a beginning to all that exists outside of himself; he alone is Creator (the verb "create" - Hebrew bara - always has God for its subject). The totality of what exists (expressed by the formula "the heavens and the earth") depends on the One who gives it being.

]]291 "In the beginning was the Word. . . and the Word was God. . . all things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made." The New Testament reveals that God created everything by the eternal Word, his beloved Son. In him "all things were created, in heaven and on earth.. . all things were created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together." The Church's faith likewise confesses the creative action of the Holy Spirit, the "giver of life", "the Creator Spirit" (Veni, Creator Spiritus), the "source of every good".

The Roman Catholic Church is creationist.

"The question about the origins of the world and of man has been the object of many scientific studies which have splendidly enriched our knowledge of the age and dimensions of the cosmos, the development of life-forms and the appearance of man. These discoveries invite us to even greater admiration for the greatness of the Creator, prompting us to give him thanks for all his works and for the understanding and wisdom he gives to scholars and researchers. With Solomon they can say: "It is he who gave me unerring knowledge of what exists, to know the structure of the world and the activity of the elements. . . for wisdom, the fashioner of all things, taught me."
-]]CCC 283

The "development of life-forms and the appearance of man" can apply to Darwin's "survival of the fittest" can it not?

Per Dr. "billions and billions of Earth years," John Ankerberg,

"Not you, Pope," "Observer," did a good job of answering you. Why should you even be concerned if Ankerberg is an old or new earther? Considering the popes believe in evolution, e.g., Evolution and the Pope. This includes the present His Unholiness back to the first pope,
The word "evolution" is so pregnant with meaning that it could include (or not) any theory including "survival of the fittest" to the "Big Bang" to "old Earth" to "spontaneous creation" to "punctuated equilibrium" and many, many more sub-theories.

That this has been reported from a non-Vatican site:

"John Paul II was reported as saying that evolution is "more than just a theory.""

... does not imply a pope believed in a "Big Bang" or "spontaneous creation" or some other anti-creationist position.

Probably supply and demand.

Smaller supply of G films, makes the per movie demand higher.

Plus, R film dreck is real easy to just pump out of the sewer since there's plenty of it.

And, the cost of producing Gs is probably higher. Thus, the net profit could be less than Rs.

If you want to know what the 'true church' is up to now, read this article. They continue to break God's word and slither around Holy Writ for the sake of their 'tradition'. Would the true church of Jesus Christ blatantly sin against Him? No, but a false one would. This story deals with the worship of graven images and how it's 'okay', according to the RCC...
http://sueliz1.wordpress.com/2012/01/12/opus-dei-priest-explains-why-graven-images-are-okay/
A true born again follower of Christ would never defend, nor stay in a cult religion like the RCC.
Moses hand-carved a graven image and the Jews looked at and through it to trust in Christ for their cure (and ultimate salvation).

If the Roman Catholic Church is wrong for doing likewise, then Jesus has a double-standard?

God forbid it!

Rev 1:1 ¶ The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him,

and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John: Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
Since Jesus (who looks down from the right hand of God the Father and sees all time, past, present & future) gave His revelation to John, why didn't He specifically state this directly in the biblical text: "come out of the Roman Catholic Church" so there would be no confusion for the anticipated One Billion+ Roman Catholics?

Perhaps God's Word isn't crystal-clear but only for those with special knowledge from the Spirit to correctly interpret the Holy Bible.

"You could quiz the average Evangelical about specific sexual issues and they'd have answers for you. But if you gave a test to the typical Evangelical church-goer about the doctrine of justification by faith, the essence of the Gospel or the atoning work of Christ -- they'd fail.

"And, in fact, those kinds of quizzes have been given to demonstrate the gross ignorance of Evangelicals when it comes to fundamental Bible doctrines [including] the Gospel. They don't understand it. And yet, we're being told again and again and again that we need more instruction on sex. And it needs to be more and more explicit all the time.

"That is worse, I think, than anything you could cite from the Middle Ages that shows the apostasy of the Roman Catholic Church.

"[Evangelicalism is] in a serious, serious state of spiritual decline. And this sort of hyper-interest in sex is about as carnal as it could be and it's pretty much the worst trend the church could foster."

Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
What part of "come out of her" and "be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues" do you not understand?
You have clarified that the Roman Catholic Church existed before the book of Revelation was written. Correct?

Otherwise how could John have written to "come out of Her" in Revelation if the Roman Catholic Church didn't even exist until the 4th Century?

If an orthodox old-Earth preacher is exegeting Genesis 1, how does he describe our human progression?

"First there were Adam and Eve who fruitfully multiplied and filled the Earth mightily until Noah.

"This full Earth was subsequently wiped out because of sin and through the Great Flood and there were only 8 survivors.

"We conclude the first million years here. Then this pattern was roughly followed another 5,000 times until our current epoch.

"Now anywhere there's soil, we find human remains because there were literally trillions and trillions of people before you and me."

Isn't this a suspect story?

But now 1/2 of preachers think this way?

Hmmm.

NOTICE NYP, all these dates PRECEDE the birth of your apostate RCC!
The (Universal or "one") Catholic (Christian) Church started circa A.D. 33 from Jesus (Cornerstone) to Peter (the 1st chief bishop) and so on until Pope Benedict XVI (the current chief bishop). It naturally adopted the adjective "Roman" since Popes (chief bishops) have (mostly) found their chair located in Rome at the Vatican.

for not you pope wrote:
You said "The Catholic Church started circa A.D. 33 from Jesus to Peter and so on until Pope Benedict XVI." Please verify this.
If Peter's not the singular "rock," what is it that makes Protestantism "one"?

With 100s of denominations, 1,000s of independent churches and "millions and millions of Bible interpretations," how can Protestantism, in any sense, be "one" except in its 500 year disagreement with Rome?
