Liberty and freedom are desirable everywhere. Tyranny and oppression are threats everywhere. Revival and growth for the Kingdom of God should be a goal for Christians from every nation for every nation.

Related to this topic, Oz Guiness has a recent book called: The Global Public Square: Religious Freedom and the Making of a World Safe for Diversity.

"The human race is in the best condition when it has the greatest degree of liberty." - Dante Alighieri, De Monarchia, 1559

We are all better off when we all enjoy freedom to deliberate and debate and to seek to influence others through reasoned persuasion (rather than having control be directed through tyranny and coercion).

Freedom of relgion, conscience and expression are essential for all. Let there also be justice. Almighty God will judge in the end. He will reward and He will repay.

Jesus was a multi-lingual, cross-cultural missionary. The ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ reached beyond the Jews. The travels of Jesus included places in Phoenicia (modern Lebanon) like Tyre and Sidon. In the Old Testament, Jonah preached to the Ninevites who repented and Namaan the Syrian was healed of his leprosy. Nebuchadnezzar the Babylonian king gave remarkable testimony as recorded in Daniel 4.

Old Testament prophets and the Lord Jesus Christ spoke more languages that Hebrew alone.

Question: "What language did Jesus speak?"

Ever year, Joseph and Mary went up to Jerusalem for the feast of Passover (Luke 2:41). When Jesus studied in the temple for multiple days at twelve years old, there it is likely that he spoke Hebrew.

"And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers." (Luke 2:46–47)

With those debts to pay, you know that there will be greater aversion and a little less courage to proclaim faithful gospel messages with themes like repentance, self-denial and the Lordship of Jesus Christ that might offend and send people away.

There is an entrenched power structure in many church organizations that possesses exclusivity in access to:

Pay
Position
Prestige
Professional status
Pastoral prerogatives
Pastoral privileges
Parsonages (if applicable)
Personal and positional honors
Pastoral conferences
Preaching privileges
Prelacy powers
Private information access
Preferred tax status
Pensions

This all has an influence. The status quo has its attractions for those who benefit from the status quo.

But, the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of our LORD and of His Christ and He will reign forever.

Interesting, Watch and Pray. Serves as a start reminder that we never know how God will use any seemingly trivial effort at some point in a person's life to draw them to Him. I view life as one enormous jigsaw puzzle. Trillions of pieces that are in constant motion and readjusting themselves with every action, decision, prayer, etc. Those puzzle pieces are moving around based upon our own efforts and prayers as well, and any little thing, even a smile or a helping hand at the right moment in time could be the catalyst which ends up joining two pieces together at some point down the road. I guess my point is that we should never give up and always pray about what we can do whether its helping at a soup kitchen or dropping of a gallon of milk to a neighbor. We just never know what God has planned or how we're being uses, although we may never witness the results.
christopher00, thank you for reading. TY for your comments. Yes, little things matter in ways that we may not be able to predict. God directs Providence as in Providence, RI.

10+ years ago, our family enjoyed a visit to the American Bible Society building and Bible museum located in NYC on Broadway near Columbus Circle and Central Park. It was a great experience in a great location.

Some years earlier, while walking towards home as a high school student, I received a Good News New Testament distributed by the ABS. I was not an evangelical Christian at the time. It was an influence that helped to direct me toward a commitment to Christ that I made approximately 7 years later.

In episode 1 of the first Cosmos series done by Carl Sagan in 1980, there were explanations of young stars, old stars, quasars, supernovas and spiral galaxies with many photos from space. An overview of the history of astronomy was given.

In episode 1 of the new Cosmos series in 2014, there were multiple artists renderings presented as fact. Examples included earth as it appeared 250 millions years ago and views near the surface of Venus. Broad, poetic generalizations were made like "the vast cosmic ocean and numberless worlds". Instead of a history of astronomy, there was an extended and partially animated focus on the life and martyrdom death of one Giordano Bruno from the 16th century.

Both episode 1's made references to a big bang and to compressing the history of the universe into a single year.

Cosmos II has the platform now for presenting its message. Episode 2 and beyond are coming.

Churches and ministries have taught the love of God without teaching the justice of God and that God must punish sin.

Either Jesus suffered for our sins as our substitute or we must suffer for our own sins against a holy and eternal God.

Jesus loved righteousness and hated wickedness (Psalm 45:7; Hebrews 1:9)

This world won't be here for ever. Prayer: O let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end.

Vast numbers of preachers and ministry organizations have taken it upon themselves to preach one side only. They have taught remission of sins without repentance from sins.

In comparison, John the Baptist, Jesus, Peter and Paul all taught repentance (Mark 1:4,15; Luke 24:27; Acts 2:38; Acts 17:30). See also the word "repent" in Revelation 2-3.

Repentance and remission of sins go together. We can be saved through faith alone but the faith that saves is not alone. It is accompanied by love and deeds that are the fruit of repentance and the renewing of Holy Spirit.

Designer Christianity became popular where people have designed personalized definitions of gospel, salvation, law, sin, grace, saving faith.

God is holy and will not be deceived by head faith that is not in the heart. (Romans 10:9-10)

Biblically, remission of sins is paired with repentance. So, repent. Put off the old man. Put on the new man which is created by God in the image and likeness of Jesus Christ and in true holiness.

If any person is truly in Christ, then he or she is a new creation with old passed away and all things made new (2Co 5:17)

Behold both the goodness and severity of God (Romans 11:22). Repentance precedes remission of sins in the kingdom of God.

Being an icon of wholesomeness was a good thing. We could use more examples of wholesomeness Child-like joy and hope and wholesome goodness are good things.

And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 18:2ff)

Mr. Pete Seeger has been judged as good and bad by commentators since his passing.

Please be reminded that we must all appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ. Jesus, the only Redeemer, has been appointed as Judge by the Father. He alone will have perfect knowledge of the facts and He alone will be able to judge with perfect fairness and perfect equity.

“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness…” (Matthew 5:6)

"But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first." (Matthew 19:30)

The Day of Judgment is likely to produce some outcomes that few expected.
