Now why does JD reject that it is the righteousness of Christ that saves and not faith? Because that righteousness is exactly what saved OT believers. In other words that foundation had a retroactive effect on OT believers. Same foundation, same savior etc..
But JD cannot see the unity of the economy of salvation and therefore has to drive a huge big wedge between the testaments to suit his Judaising leanings!
