Bravo, Now you are engaging in rationalization. You just gave defense for being a sodomite in thought and feeling and separated that from the deed. Can't be done! In Exodus 20:14 it says "Thou shalt not commit adultery" in Matthew chapter 5:27-30 Jesus Christ goes from the letter of the law to the intent of the law, to even look upon someone with lust is to commit adultery. (I stand guilty of this as well.) So according to the Scripture the thought is as much a sin before God as the deed! We must bring every thought in to captivity, 2 Cor 10:5, "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;"
You have claimed to be a Christian do you not realize, if you are Born Again you are a NEW CREATURE in Christ Jesus, all thing are made new. A new heart, new desires, new mind and in fact a new man. Don't listen to Satan's lies about once a sodomite always a sodomite! Read and re-read Romans chap 6-7 until it is real to you. "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? ...for he that is dead is freed from sin." Thought, word and deed. |

Bravo, why are you so intent on defining sodomite as a temple prostitute? The sin of Sodom is clearly seen starting in Genesis chapter 18:20 thru 19:5. (..."that we may [sexually] know them" is the very definition of Sodom's sin, hence the term sodomite.)
The world uses more sterile, less offensive terms such as "gay, lesbian, trans-gender, sexual orientation, homosexual, metrosexual, and transsexual." The Bible uses sodomite and effeminate to describe the same sin. It is on the authority of Scripture that I use these words, as they have always been used in the English language, to call this sin for what it is. To give them "new" meaning now is only an echo from the Garden of Eden... "yea, hath God said?" |

Since I seemed to have started out this string I will weigh back in. To Bravo, I ask you to examine your own posts. You are claiming to be a "gay" Christian. Such a title presuposes a "lying Christian" and a "murdering Christian" or even a "theiving Christian." All of which are addressed in 1 Cor. 6:9-11 and 10:1-14. The key is in Chapter 6 verse 11, "and such were..." past tense. James 1:14-15, "But every man is tempted when he is drawn away fo his own lust, and enticed, Then when lust hath conceived it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished bringeth forth death." I am not talking about sinless prefection, for there is no such thing according to 1 John 1:8-10. (Praise God for 1 John 1:9!) One cannot be a hyphenated Christian. (ie. gay Christian, etc)
To Neil, Your comment about agreeing with abortion not making one technically a murderer. Maybe not in man's eyes but Scripture tells us that if we bid God speed (condone or bless) an evil doer we become a partaker of their evil, 2 John verses 10 and 11. To murder in your mind is as good as done before God, 1 John 3:14-15.
Finally, sodomite and effeminate are biblical terms that carry with them the weight and authority of Scripture. They speak of sin against the Holy Creator God. Man's terms (gay) don't. |

"Gay Christians?" Military intellegence, deafening silence, oxymorons all. More important is the sodomite's hijacking of all things biblical and Christian. Sodomites and satanists adopted the rainbow colors back in the 70's. sodomites started to associate their abominable lifestyles with as much Christianity as they could get away with. Their main attack is the family with their attempts to redefine marriage. This is their way of shaking their fists in God's face and saying "you will not reign over us, we defy God and what He stands for." And because God does not rain down thunder and lightenings upon them in judgment they add more blasphemy to their accounts. God is not mocked, whatosever a man soweth that shall he also reap. (and the principle of the harvest is that we always reap more than we sow.) Many things in the coming days will be done in the name of God which will turn a true Christian's stomach, and greive our very souls. We must be praying now! We cannot wait for the battle to reach us, we must be preparing now. When the front lines are (literaly) in our front yard it will be too late to prepare. Let us who claim true Christianity, be constantly before the Father's throne praying for families,friends, loved ones, communities, states, leaders & our nation. |

"These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes." The world (and the average Christian for that matter) see God's patience and long suffering as weakness. The world looks at God's lack of lightenings and thunderings as weakness on His part and they are emboldened to blaspheme even more. They are storing up wrath against the day of wrath. O that God would give us (Born Again believers) the burden, the tears, and the broken hearts to seek God's face and plead mercy for our nations and peoples. Rail against the sin yes, but let it break our hearts and flood our eyes as it did Jeremiah of old! Let Daniel chapt. 9 be our prayer as well. The problem is not in the world acting out its natural inclinations, but in the lack of true Christians willing to be broken hearted for that world of sin. Have we not the heart of Christ within us? Hear Jesus words, "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!" O Father,give us a burden to reach this generation with your gospel. O LORD help us! |

Whose culture is it? Only NYC and LA can have culture? Her bias is only too blatent. It's not that NYC and LA reject Christian Culture but that Christians reject NYC/LA culture. How absolutely arrogant, and condescending will the documentary be given such bias from the producer? But then it amazes me how much heresy and worldly idoltry is out there being accepted at face value as “Christian.” Christian-wrestling? christian-yoga, christian-line dancing, christian-rock, christian -x-games, christian nudist colonies,gay christians, anything goes so long as you can put a “Christian” label on it. Evangelical massage parlors, coffee shops, malls, and drive thru churches... the sky’s the limit. “Judge not! Judge not! You’re being a legalist! As long as we can use it to get numbers into the church it can’t be bad!” No, not if you don’t mind a building full of wolves and goats. |
