Jim Lincoln wrote: I would suggest ... Jim - you forgot to mention Peter Jennings. Of course we know who your pastor is. How could we not? Most of the sexual abusers featured on that program WERE prosecuted to the full extent of the law. You seemed to miss that when you watched it. You dismissed the ABC program in its entirety - that included the rape allegations, and that included those which have been proven in court. If you have now woken up to that, good! The case that is at long last finally before the courts appears to have the following facts for verification (a) there was a pregnancy, (b) the girl was 15 and unable to lawfully consent, (c) the man just happened to stand up in church the SAME night as the girl and confess to "adultery" without disclosing who with, (d) even Chuck Phelps believes the man was involved with the pregnancy. In the eyes of the law the man is legally presumed innocent until convicted. Let them weigh the evidence. Of course we forgive rapists who repent, but you wouldn't trust your children to them. I also wouldn't trust them to men or women who are blindly and callously indifferent to rape victims. |

Jim Lincoln wrote: No Veritas, only part of Peter Jenning is moldering in his grave if he didn't repent the important part of him is in hell, sad as it may be to state. No, this was just a piece of ]]yellow journalism. No, argument these men, if guilty, should be punished to full extent of the law. This pastor would agree with that I think, ]]Pastor's Response to the 20/20 Report on IFB. Strange, you've given every indication that you thought the important part of Peter Jennings was spended the last year writing and directing this "yellow journalism"? Or was it his lifeless corpse you've been so upset about? How could any of these (btw mostly convicted) men be guilty when "this was just a piece of yellow journalism"? Your utter indifference for rape victims is noxious. Pastor's response, line 4 "There is no network". Yeah, right ... Seems strange for there to be a lot of IFB folks like you, and your pastor linkman, who are a bit hot under the collar about these reports on churches you have no connection with. |

Matthew Wall wrote: Our society is no longer set up in such a way as to make it a viable option. It's not commanded, therefore it's not necessary. Seriously? Matthew 6? That is just you rationalizing for your not wanting to do it.. Do you think that were not supposed to tithe too? come on... |
