Hello Everyone,
Just cutting in here to say:
Sarah Palin is a Great Candidate and I hope she wins!

Staying at home, serving my husband, teaching my kids, baking my bread, and VOTING FOR MCCAIN-PALIN.

You guys would've voted against Churchill.

Stay-at-home, homeschooling, mother-of-many, bake-our-own-bread, devoted and obedient wives like me are CHEERING FOR SARAH PALIN!!!

The idea that Todd Palin is emasculated, rather than proud; humiliated, rather than ecstatic, is ridiculous. You think he's going to be doing housework? You think the Vice President doesn't have a Domestic Staff? You think a full-time Dad caring for his children and, no doubt, having many official duties besides, is FEMININE? Planet check...which one are you on?

This fight is against Obama. This fight is for potentially two Supreme Court nominees who could tip the scales on Roe v. Wade.

If you want to keep your wife in the kitchen, have a blast. If that doesn't satisfy you, go down to your local church and/or Christian school and demand that all the married women quit typing and teaching and stay home sewing. Hahaha. That's a great idea. Let me know how it goes.

I'm at college and didn't make it to church tonight so this was encouraging to watch! It was nice to see familiar faces as well! Thanks!

May God have mercy on Burma. Let us all here in our comfortable western homes repent, lest we all likewise perish. Dear Lord, give me more compassion for the lost and perishing. May God bring more Judsons to Burma now as He did in time past.

Yet another sorrow for Asia...the tsunami, the recent cyclone in Burma, now this...God have mercy on Asia. Let us repent and cry to God for help for these poor souls. There are millions and millions of believers in China...may this disaster open doors of witness to them for the glory of Jesus Christ.

You're so right, Mirror/rorriM. A bad soap with the writers on strike. It's shameful. AND, not on topic, which is Dr. Page's decision to allow/encourage conversations about Calvinism. Dr. Page is a very nice man, and his church, First Baptist (Taylors, SC) is constantly active in good works and Gospel ministry/evangelism/missions. They also have a first-rate nursery and pre-school, not to mention outreaches to the neighborhood (free clinic, single mothers' oil changes, etc).

Question: any hope Dr. Stephen Jones will join his neighbor Dr. Page in conversations on Calvinism?

I've been away for a long time, but here I am again reading these sermonaudio comments, and I am once again astonished at how sarcastic, ironic, and plain ol' mean Christian brothers speak to each other. A reply to this will be, "Molly, get a life," which will prove my point. I'm just sad about this, but you will see it is true if you lurk around these sermonaudio news comments. A great percentage of them are sarcastic in tone. No wonder I went away (It wasn't just Tony's comment about my being demon possessed, which I am not).

The Jews could not stone that woman (or any other adulterer) at that time because they were ruled by the Romans and were not at liberty to carry out capital punishment, hence the petition to Pilate to crucify Jesus.

I think the Pharisees were trying to trick Jesus into saying, "Yes she should be stoned" which would put Him at odds with the Roman government which did not allow such a thing. Or, if He said, "No she should not be stoned," they would say He was disobeying the Law.

The Lord turned their trickery back on them and whatever He wrote on the ground was convicting enough to send them on their way ashamed of themselves.

As far as Iran goes, at the moment I'm more concerned about their position on nuclear weapons . . .

Dear AntiVaticanist Tony Lopez-Cisneros,

I think you are sincere in your words, so I have taken the trouble to print them all off and file them, so that if you ever have ideas such as running for Congress again or anything else that has an aura of respectability about it, your words can be published wherever needed to "enhance" your public standing.

Which does not mean I am ceasing to monitor your comments, reply to them, or call them what they are.

To make it easy for me to send a gift if I hear of a situation where help is needed, or, if my heart is touched by a sermon and I want to give to a specific ministry. Or even to pay my tithe. It's easy, it's quietly done.

This is a nice feature.

Now, AVA, this is over the top! I call you silly and you call me a demonically inspired liar, uneducated, cultic, idiotic, assinine.

If the whole world finds me so, I shall certainly not argue with it, but I must ask:

Is this your typical manner of "treating older woman like mothers"?

We regularly receive mailings from large "churches" in the area who serve "burritos to everyone who comes!" One local "church" had a Follow The Yellow Brick Road theme for several Sundays. Another church up the road actually sells nachos and soda pop before the service. These churches call themselves Protestant and Evangelical and would hold to most of the doctrinal stands most of us conservative Bible believers hold to. I ought to start saving these things so you all can see them. Or are there churches like this outside metropolitan California???

Naturally people are disturbed that the president of Iran was allowed/asked to speak at an American university, but Dr. Bollinger addresses that issue in his comments, which I hope anyone posting here as read in their entirety before posting (www.columbia.edu).

It takes an impressive level of courage to face a man who could (probably) arrange to have you killed and call him an enemy, a tyrant, a dictator, and then tick off one by one his deficiencies on the world stage.

I do not have a television and am wondering if this is big news on the TV or on the talk radio shows.

Yes, AVA (Tony), I find you "really" silly. More so than anyone else I have ever encountered. Really. Very. Silly.

Mr. Lincoln is never silly, to be fair, and I always enjoy his comments, even this ironic one to daniel.

All of the comments on this thread are silly.

You can read the text of Dr. Bollinger's speech at www.columbia.edu to be cured of the vapid, one-dimensional arguments such as "Christians shouldn't say naughty things"--what simplistic nonsense. READ THE SPEECH. It is succinct and brilliant. What a moment for Dr. Bollinger, and God bless him for his clarity of thought, his courage in facing a powerful enemy, and his stand for America, Israel, freedom of speech, and truth.

33K, you are the best. Keep up the rationality. There are far too many wild posters on sermonaudio. I would recommend you stay away from the murderous union halls mentioned by Mr. Shaw. You could take that post to a police department in some places and nail him on terroristic threatening. Where are the good manners among sermonaudio listeners? I am going on a manners crusade, though now that we haven't heard from AntiVaticanist in a while, half the reason for it is gone.

The complicity of the Roman Catholic church with the enemy in WWII is well known, and yes, it is important to meet the foe head on.

I'd also like to issue a Manners Moment here for sermonaudio posters in general: there is a SERIOUS problem with cynicism and sarcarm in the postings (almost on every thread), but calling a respected poster "Jim the Dim" is rude and simply wrong.
