Dear Pastor, Thank you for your great sermon. I was born in Comunist Romania and like many of my peers was an atheist. I became saved thru a crisis conversion while in Nigeria working as a medical doctor. I am now in full time ministry here. We pray for revival. The no one enemy is the evil spirit of religion that tells people to attend church, do 'ministry', say that they are born again... but never get truly saved. This religious atmosphere is the fertile soil for the so called 'gospel of prosperity'. We preach Christ crucified. We see now true conversions not only from paganism to Christ but from religion to Christ. Each of these people have a clear testimony that gives glory to God. I write this to encourage you. Dear Pastor, I have to say the truth: I have enjoyed your good sermon! I am a missionary to Africa. I am a preacher of Christ also. The danger I see here is not only to the congregation but to the preacher also. I have discovered a tendency in my heart 'to like' the people that go to a good church more than them that avoid it.
We are praying for revival here. The no one enemy we have discovered is the evil spirit of religion that drives people to church to listen to sermons, do ministry...but still remain sinners. The warning of God to Ezekiel, to be watchful about the effect of the spirit of religion over his own heart as a man of God, has been a great encouragemnet to me all these years. God cares about my heart that I may not be deceived! This is a great comfort to me!

Dear Pastor Alan, Thank you for sharing not just the gospel but your life as well. I hear your heart as you speak. I feel your pain and that blessed burden given by God to carry. Many have droped it to the ground and went 'free' to do easier ministry, like you said. I have learned to appreciate the fellowship with this exquisite burden, the taste of the Word of God in my mouth and heart. I made a covenant with God when I first got saved that He should use any means to keep me on the narrow way of the cross. That if I refuse and try to backslide, He should please take me to heaven. I am still on earth as I write you this letter. I am in full time ministry as a missionary in Nigeria. I thank God for you and for your ministry. You are a blessing to me.
