And since you're referncing church history, the Augsburg Confession prior to Dordt believed that a confessing believer could walk away from salvation ie blaspheming the Holy Spirit.

Scripture provides countless examples of godly people who “strayed concerning the truth” (2 Timothy 2:18) reminding us to be on guard for sin and false teaching.

Do you have a reference for the above statement? I am very familiar with the small denomination you refer to Schaefer leaving and never heard the allegation written above in regard to what he allegedly thought Christianity is based uopn.
