While their are probably many professing evangelicals that are "okay" with assisted suicide, their shouldn't even be one true evangelical that is okay with making it legal to take a human life. Whether it's abortion or assisted suicide the bottom line is that our government is trying legalize murder, with certain stipulations you have to meet of course 🙄.
Any and every true Christian knows the value of human life and therefore would NEVER agree with such an agredious act. This is a downright shameful article and this guy is losing all hope in Christianpost...

He has already won. I used to live in KY and knew his son growing up. He is a Protestant and a descent Christian man. Hard to find in politics.
He isn't "giving people permission" to acknowledge that this is the year of the Bible but rather trying to elevate its importance on a public platform. People on SA are downright malicious against other Christians sometimes. Remove the 2x4 from your eye before you remove a speck of sawdust from a brothers.... And for heavens sake be kind to one another or even a Christian politician for once?!?!?! Fat chance here

Merry Christmas everyone! Let's try not to argue and debate in a news thread entitled "God with us" lol.

Everyone remember that Christmas is t about family, friends, gifts, tradition, etc. but about the day that Gos literally came to earth to be Immanuel, God with us. Let's keep a reverent Spirit and remember the reason why He did this for His creation. He came to atone for our sins through a sinless, perfect life that only He could live and die a death that only He could bear. Christ is the reason for Christmas, keep this day holy and let this be the center of our praise today!

Ladybug is absolutely right. Belief in false religion aka a false God have no better chance on judgement day than one who denies God. In fact they heard the truth, rejected it and distorted and their damnation will be greater.
Amen ladybug

The day is coming in America where we are going to start losing our religious freedoms. Maybe slowly, maybe quickly. Regardless we are losing them.

It makes me chuckle and disturbs me at the same time that Evangelicals are so critical of Trump. Listen, Hilary didn't win. That by itself is a HUGE victory. Trumps character may be called in question but no one can question his salvation. I don't agree with everything he says or does for sure, BUT at the same time I pray for him and all our leaders. I leave the saving work to God and believe that God is sovereign over the rulers and leaders of our nation and every other nation. As evangelicals we should pray for Trump and hope that he will align himself with Gods will and seek to grow in the faith if indeed he is a Christian.

Pride comets before a fall... You are pointing out an extremist form of Calvinist that is not the true Calvinists that believe the theology that we believe and act accordingly. Regardless of your age you should be able to admit at least perhaps your judging a extreme sect of Calvinism that perhaps isn't Calvinism at all.
And MS, no one is perfect I'm just simply stating that Al Mohler's theology and worldview is solid, not that he is infallible. Just as any other man!

Everyone who is saying that Calvinist are self-elected and boastful and arrogant, do you actually know what Calvinist believe? Or, more likely, have you met a Christian (regardless of if a Calvinist or not though in this case it is) that likes to shove their theology down people's throat and hoard their intelligence over others. This is a shameful Pharisaical thing to do by any Christian and a true Calvinist would be the first to admit this. True Calvinist seethe selves for what they are, it is what the "T" in TULIP states, Totally depraved. They see themselves as sinners saved by grace and given faith in God as a gift from God and not of themselves. Knowing this about what Calvinist believe how could you say that Calvinist are arrogant, self righteous people? This is a misrepresentation presented by a person with an obvious biased towards Calvinism in general. Grace and peace.

Wayfarer, your comment is a complete injustice to reformism and reformist. It is not a "new found religion" as you put it. But rather taking scripture literally and understanding that we cannot explain all of what Gods word says and the complexity therein, but at the same time accepting what the Bible as truth regardless of what our fallen logic and emotion says. There is a lot more to reformed theology than this and much much much more than what you are saying. To get a basic grasp on reformed theology that is not biased based on your personal experience with people who are clearly acting against scripture I would reccommend listening to "Doctrines of Grace" on the GTY app by John MacArthur. Please don't judge all reformist based on the actions and attitudes of a few. Thank you.

John Gerstner and RC Sproul and John MacArthur and three great Reformed theologists in our current time. Not to mention Augustine, Calvin, J Edwards and the infamous Luther also held the belief of Reformed theology. I do not consider any of these men's word to inerrant, however when they all are in agreement on one thing, namely God's sovereignty in regards to what's called now the 5 points of Calvinism, I pay attention. Christians don't put God in a box so that we can all fully understand Him. If we could fully understand God he wouldn't be God. Gods sovereignty is above our minds, the link between predestination and freewill, preservation of the saints and judgement for actions, faith in God and saved by grace yet always accompanied by works but never saved by works. All of these are great truths that are difficult to understand fully, yet that doesn't make them true. The trinity is impossible to understand yet we believe. Jesus virgin birth is beyond human logic but we believe. The truths of Gods sovereignty are no different except Christians consider them "not fair" or in some way think God isn't excercising enough grace. His ways are not our ways and Hos thought not our thoughts, don't dumb God down because we cannot fathom His divine supernatural person.

Wish I could say I had faith in the FBI to do their job and take care of this demonic institution but we all saw how they dealt with Hilary's emails so therefore I have no faith that they will do any better in this instance. I hope and pray to God I am wrong!!!

Blasphemy. America and the individuals that make up this "gender neutral" society will undoubtably be judged. Ridiculous political correctness is getting out of hand....

Same thing different year... Always bashing Christmas. Anything that just has the name "Christ" in it so overtly offensive to people that they can't stomach being apart of anything associated to it. And obviously Christmas trees and Charlie Brown are EXTREMELY offensive. Lol

Predestination is not an opinion created by Calvinist, rather a biblical principle made by God. Romans 9:8-14, John 10:28, Ephesians 1:3-6 and many more scriptures support this. God is sovereign period. You take away any aspect of His sovereignty and you can draw the conclusion that He is no longer completely in control (sovereign). Either God is completely sovereign or not. We as Christians need to decide if we will only accept something we can fully grasp in our heads or if we will take God's word for what it says and accept it by faith.

I was shocked to see people actually having the audacity to condemn these people for publicly praying essentially for our nation to make decisions and think in regards to God's will! They are not praying to be seen as the Pharisee's did when Jesus condemned them in Mathew... Totally different situation reasoning, there is no evidence of a prideful spirit in this and these people should be applauded not condemned for their prayers. All Christians should pray, period.

“ Great Sermon! ”
This message is an extreme blessing to me. For a long time I was struggling to believe or not believe in election and this teaching confirmed that election is what the Bible teaches, whether you like it or not. So many verses exist that you can't get around it or explain it away
