Alot of the Latino new converts have a difficilt time breaking out of their religious habits because of a long history of Catholicism as a traditional family religion. When they experience the power of the Holy Spirit, they are apt to allow their experience or "feelings" get in the way of true biblical doctrine or may not even care about theology bacause the experience outweighs anything else. I am a Latino man who has been fortunate to have been exposed to biblical truth and a deep understanding of human nature as it applies to experiences and their effect on peoples actions. However I believe that God will use these "experiences" to open doors for truth to be applied to the Latino communities lives! Praise God that Latinos eyes are being opened to truth!

Ah, classic denominational disputes, I don't think proving which denominations theology is correct will solve anything, yes their are certianly denominations who's errors are obvious, but shouldn't we just be happy that God is moving in peoples lives, that God does not use certian denominations for his works? Can we rejoice that Christ is being preached? whether you agree with AofG or not is irrelevant, the points trying to be made are futile. Let's rejoice that Christian churches are still being errected! If it is a bible based church and lives are being transformed by the true power of God then "denomination" means nothing. I'm not very fond of the charasmatic movement myself due in part to the disorder I see, but I am still excited that people are being truely saved, I highly doubt the Lord is going to ask me what denomination I belonged to on the day of salvation!

John UK, I should have worded that differently, what I ment was celebrating the birth of Jesus on December 25th minus the tree, lights, or any other typical or traditional Christmas celebrations. Thanks for

Reading these posts, I can't help but wonder what will be pertinent on the day of salvation. Will the Lord ask us what our theological beliefs were? Will he ask "why did you celebrate the birth of my son on Dec. 25th?" Does understanding the pagan history, yet still getting presents for your kids hinder your salvation? I told my children since a very young age about the true origins of Christmas, I tell everyone I can about the pagan roots of Christmas. Am I a hypocryte for still going to church & celebrating the gift of our savior? I hope not. I hope it is just an opportunity to bring glory to God, as everyday should be but focusing specifically on the fact that there is a savior who was born and brought redemption to mankind. My hope is that the body of Christ be pleasing to our Father, is celebrating Christmas minus the traditional pagan applications displeasing to our Lord?

Setting aside the obvious pagan origins of festivities that take place during Christmas, I say it is a day of opportunity to celebrate the gift of our savior, not get cought up in legalism or traditions. If you are educated enough to understand the true meaning of Christmas then why let the pagan history get in the way of celebrating the birth of Jesus? We all know he wasn't really born on the 25th of December.

I am a child counselor at a psychiatric hospital and have seen thousands of children in acute psychiatric distress. Almost 100% of the children I see are perscribed at minimum 3 psychatropic medications, most of whom are in the states custody and bounced around from one foster family to the next. I personally work with a psychiatrist who is conservative with his perscriptions so I can't imagine how a more liberal doc would perscribe meds to a kid! What a shame, wish I had more say in the way these cases are handled. Pray for our children, they are growing up in such a godless, corrupt society!

There are alot of good points being made but trying to persuade one another to see things from any one particular stand point is futile. Maybe we can agree on one simple fact, that if the music truly brings God glory & is biblically based, it can be considered "worship music." I fully understand that human emotion can get in the way with music, but if it ultimately causes someone to turn to God then shouldn't it be considerd devinely inspired? Who are we to say what God uses or doesn't use to call people unto himself? None of us know.

People need to stop getting cought up in legalistic judgements and realize that the way Christ is preached doesn't matter, we should just rejoice in the fact that Christ is preached, period! People get stuck in denominational traditions and cannot move past their "old way of thinking." Practical application of the word brought through any musical means nessesary is a good thing as long as it doesn't comprimise the truth of God's message. We know God's word does not return void, Upwordz keep up the good work!

"All American Muslim" AAM should be "Anti-American Muslim" and TLC should stand for "The Lost Citizens" as in spiritually lost! Let's pray for these poor souls.

This article is very true, I live in a predominately Hispanic community & myself am a young ex Catholic, Hispanic now attending a full gospel church. I have seen thousands of young hispanics getting saved week in and week out. These new converts are hungry for truth & are observed to be very dedicated & sincerely love the Lord. I am happy to see God's light leading people of any nationality to truth but am especially proud to see hispanics leaving the lies, false doctrine and obomination of filth & idolitry that is the Catholic church! Praise God, he is gathering in the harvest in these last days & seperating the wheat from the tare.

Jim, I never intended for anyone to think that I was calling the unsaved our brothers and sisters. Why must people complicate what others are trying to say? I simply believe that we should pray for the unsaved so they may become our brothers and sisters, thats it. I was raised Catholic so I completely understand the magnitude of what is wrong on every level in the Catholic church. Please stop reading into things as if I am ignorant of the word. I love people and I want to see everyone come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Very simple, practical application of the word. People seem very quick to read into others posts and immediately post a scripture to prove them wrong, or prove themselves right. I am in no way trying to make a point or have anyone agree with my statements. Lets stop allowing our feelings to get in the way of Gods love for others and let our light shine and truely be the salt of this earth! -Respectfully, Carlos

Frank, your point is clear, thank you sir. I was in essence refering to all mankind who are blinded by these institutions, not any one belief system inparticular. I just hate seeing another human in bondage to spiritual corruption & deciete. I guess I just have a personal burden to pray for our enemies in hopes for their repentence to recieve salvation. Thanks for your response! -Your brother in Christ Jesus

We need to pray for those who have been blinded by religious tradition, we should have compassion on those who are fooled by false doctrine. Does the word not say that it is God's kindness that leads us to repentence? Lets love our brothers & sisters, lets allow our Godly character as we conform to Christ's image show how much we care for one another!

Thanks John UK, yes that was the scripture I was thinking of. I just think many people want these days want to complicate Who God is and they don't focus on the practicle things that I believe he wants us to apply to our lives. I do believe a person in leadership should "be careful not to make his brother stumble." But I just dont belive that debating over this particular issue will solve anything, I think we can just agree to disagree and it will not have any major eternal reprocussions. If I'm wrong then God forgive me.
[AUTHOR]John UK[/AUTHOR]Correct on every point Carlos.
The scripture you mentioned? Is it this one?
Romans 14:20-22 KJV
20 For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.
21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.
22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
Once again, it is clearly alcoholic wine.[/QUOTE]

I believe our God is a very practicle God and when we get into these deep theological debates over opinions, it takes away from the real point. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't it say somewhere in the word that people will gave different convictions about what is sinful & wrong to them might not convict another? I'm not saying that drunkeness is ok but do people belive that you can lose salvation over a glass of wine because of it's alcohol content? Is God going to ask us how many glasses of wine we thought were appropriate? Or will will the focal point of our salvation be what our relationship was with Jesus? Did we obey his word? Did we truly serve humbly? Just asking, thanks!
