If preachers and church leaders taught more on the holiness of God, and the majesty of Christ and the awesomeness of the Holy Spirit, both attitudes and dress would be no problem.
Jesus is the incarnate God.. Neither Muslim or Christian, but born a Jew. Jesus isn't only in the Bible, He IS the Bible. he is also the Only way to God. "No one comes to the Father except through ME."
Ladybug, you make it seem by the use of the scripture that you've referred, that The Lord forces himself upon man? That man doesn't really have any choice in the matter to except or reject the free gift?
I'm with you B.Ross. The comments that some have made here are absurd. Putting ones faith and trust into the finish work of our Lord Christ Jesus does not require works. I couldn't help but shake my head when I read this. I'm sorry but the five points of Calvinism is nothing but a perversion of the true gospel of Christ. It's retarded.
I agree with you B.Ross. Jesus did die for the sins of the whole world but sadly the whole world won't believe the gospel and call upon his Holy and righteous name to receive his free gift of eternal life. Then their are those who put their faith and trust in there religious beliefs which brings Matt: 7-22-23 to mind “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
Elton is so right on that Jesus forgave even those who crucified him,but he also said repent from your sins and turn to God how we all like to squeeze the bible to suit our lifestyle. Anyone who adds or takes away from the words of this book of prophesy, God shall take away his part in the book of life, Revelation ch 22 vs 18- 19 spoken by the same Jesus who forgave all his enemies.
