What makes Bridwell Heights Presbyterian different from other churches? Of course, being Presbyterian, we hold to a form of church government where the Church is ruled by a number of elders who are elected by the congregation. The word "Presbyterian" comes from the Greek word "presbyter" which means "elder." These elders are under Jesus Christ, and are therefore obligated to rule only under the authority of the Bible.
Being part of the PCA (Presbyterian Church in America), we, like our sister churches, believe that the Bible is the infallible, inerrant, and all-sufficient word of God. Some believe that the Bible contains
errors, but we believe it is without error.
